  • not pleased at all with rooms!nasty and dirty...got to room as housekeeping was leaving and the floor needed to be cleaned. also no good view at all. no bathtub at all either!stayed at other places and we will repeat them but not the luxor. stayed there years ago but had a tower room and it was ok. was tricked into this room!

  • The room was in bad need of a makeover. The carpet was well worn with a cigarette burn in it (even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room). the toilet didnt work properly. Smelled musty. The """"inclinators"""" (elevators) go sideways and made some feel seasick. I would not stay here again without much improvement.

  • The Luxor was a great hotel for a first time visitor. We had a late flight, so check-in wasnt bad. We had a great room in the pyramid facing the """"Strip"""". We waited for the room as it wasnt ready, but it was worth the wait. The staff was friendly and very accommodating (A special thanks to X). We were expecting a """"dump"""", from previous reviews on this website; but, the Luxor exceeded our expectations. We would stay there again!

  • Poor service, especially all the lines. Dont bother with the concierge to book tickets (we were sold tickets that were not actually available and had to go back for a refund, ruining all our plans for the evening), if you do book anything then ask them to confirm with the relevant party in front of you, otherwise they just make excuses!

  • Poor service, especially all the lines. Dont bother with the concierge to book tickets (we were sold tickets that were not actually available and had to go back for a refund, ruining all our plans for the evening), if you do book anything then ask them to confirm with the relevant party in front of you, otherwise they just make excuses!

  • This was our first trip to Las Vegas. I had always heard food was cheap. That is surely not the case at the ""main resorts"". Average 30-60 dollars a meal including breakfast. You also pay high cab fair or walk everywhere. The first day the main cleaned out the shower and took my personal shampoo/conditioner/razor. It took me 2 days and 3 phone calls to managers to get replaced. Drinks while you are gambling are very hard to come by. Saw only 2 waitresses the whole week. Would never stay here again based on service not to mention location. You defiantly want to stay at a hotel on the monorail system. Plan to walk a lot no matter where you are going.

  • I stayed in one of the pyramid rooms and found my hotel room to be a lot bigger than I expected. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I slept well my entire stay there. I would definitely stay at the Luxor again (for business or pleasure)!

  • My husband and I just returned from our very first trip to Vegas and are very pleased that we stayed at the Luxor. Its a short drive to and from the airport either by shuttle bus, rental car, or taxi. The hotel feels spacioius and doesnt seem to ""mill with people"" like some of the other hotels on the strip. The check-in and check-out was efficiently done. Wake up calls came right on time and the room was comfortable, clean, and had a wonderful walk-in shower. The best part of the stay at the Luxor was the terrific buffet that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Its the best buffet we found on the strip with flavorful food, great fruit, a variety of cuisines, and a pleasant staff. The pool area is nice and the only thing that disappointed us was that there was a charge of $10 daily to use the spa and exercise equipment. A free tram connects the Luxor to Mandalay Bay and Excalibur. Also the city bus drops you off right in the front of the hotel if you wish to go downtown or shopping at one of the outlet malls.

Housekeeping was outstanding and the staff in general were always pleasant and willing to please. We cant speak about the pyramid rooms because we have always stayed in the towers but I do understand the renovations will get to the pyramid soon. They have done allot of work and it is coming together nicely, cant wait to see the place next year.

  • When we arrived, the directions to parking were a bit confusing. But it is free parking. When we checked in, they offered to upgrade the room, at a cost, but it wasnt a bad one, plus we got a tub with it. They also threw in a roll away bed at no extra charge. They were nice when I lost my room key. The King Tut exhibit is not worth the ten dollars, and the only other options for entertainment were either a strip show or Carrot Top.LAX was the worse part of the trip. One of my party members reserved a table there a week in advanced. Not only was the original agreement changed upon our arrival at the club, but they also were rude and unhelpful. They are also renovating. Just fair warning.If not for LAX, I would have gone back. But that incident was a reflection on the hotel and causes me not to wish to return.

  • We had a clogged drain, had to wait 7 hours (via several different personel) for them to say it couldnt be fixed, had to move to another room, extremely long walk to room from inclinator (as certain inclinators only serve certain floors). rooms look worn. pool hours not convienient. easy access to mandalay bay and excaliber.

  • Im still here in LUXOR HELL! this place is just OLD! Why would you have 2 TVs and one remote? The beds which should have been one king size was two full or queen, just call them too small. They the beds were a sink hole. No support at all, I dont know if its by design or they are just old, my guess is old. Dont believe the credit scams for food and beverage its a setup. I can say that the room was a nice size, however I had trouble seeing the huge 20 inch screen from the totally uncomfortable aged loveseat. It appeared that the shower was cleaned well, however the so-called spa in the spa suite is funnier than the Red-headed Headliner at this overrated hotel. Lets be honest 21/2 stars max

  • The view from the room was great and the overall stay was satisfactory but there were little details that could be improved such as the friendliness of some hotel workers and the cleanliness of the hallways. My husband moved a bag of dirty laundry (sheets) as they were placed beside our hotel door and left there for 2 days until he moved them. The sink in our room leaked which was not major but again a little detail that could improve the overall stay experience. The pool is only open until 6 pm and we could use the hot tub after a long day of walking which was disappointing. The air conditioner also only worked sporadically which meant sometimes our room was humid. The water stains on the curtains were also unappealing.

  • I booked a """"regular"""" room and then upon checkin paid an extra $50 to upgrade to a room with a jacuzzi. The """"upgraded"""" room was somewhat shabby - the lights were dim (low wattage bulbs), the tv was small, the bed linens were thin and shabby. Also, the desk was small and had no power outlets nearby and the Internet connection was a long CAT5 cable that didnt reach the desk. Not recommended for business travelers.

  • The bathroom was not clean there was some nasty green-grey-yellow crust on the base of the toliet. Over the air/heating unit the ceiling had water damage and the there was some black mold and a dark dirty filter type fuzz. The curtains in the room was water damaged and the cleaning service did not get a childs toothbrush that was left behind its pink in color and it is on the right side of the night stand in room 25059. When I called the front desk they transfered me to another line that no one answered.

  • Second time here and it is becoming one of my favotites. Pyramid rooms are a lot closer to the casino but Tower rooms are a little nicer if you do not mind the walk. Will come back again

  • We really enjoyed our stay in the tower. Walk to rooms wasnt too bad. Rooms were large, comfortable and clean. I found getting around the casino a little confusing at first but after a day it became easier to maneuver. The staff was professional, competent and polite. X at the blackjack table was outstanding, funny and friendly. She made our first foray into casino blackjack really memorable.

  • You cant beat the Luxor for the price. Beautiful hotel and casino in a perfect location. Just minutes from the airport and car rental center. The best part is that its on the strip but not on the congested part of the strip where you have to sit in traffic for 30 minutes just to get in the parking lot. My wife and I loved it and will probably stay here again. Wear some comfortable shoes though because, like most hotel/casinos everything is spread out pretty far. Nothing negative to say about the Luxor.

  • Imagine driving for 5 hours and having to stand in a line with 100 others at 2:30 AM. The desk had 15 or 20 positions for Desk Clerks but only 4 employees were on hand. I thought it was shameful and perhaps a unique problem on Saturday morning prior to the LV Marathon which was on Sunday but it looked just as bad everytime I passed the desk on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Then, I returned from running the Marathon to find my room was not cleaned. I was too tired to demand service. I wanted to lie down and not be disturbed at this late hour. (6PM on Sunday)

  • The rooms and servive sucks first we get there the room that we had gotten they did not have so they but us in another room for a night then put us in our room the next night then when we got in that room the a/c did not work right it would not even keep the room cool during the day and also the bathroom vent did not work on the way checking out we told them about these issues and they acked like they did not care one bit. We will be goin back to vages next year but will not be saying with them at all.

  • There is a reason that the price for the Luxor is the lowest on the strip. I am not sure how the tower rooms are but the Pyramid rooms were awful!!! My first room smelled of smoke, so they moved me telling me that if the second room wasnt up to par I could go back to the smoking room - I should have known!!!When I walked into the room the smell of mold was overwhelming. They didnt hide it either - all along the window was mold damage...so gross! I am still stuffy!To the hotels credit they did take an internet charge and a meal off my folio for the hassle...spend the extra money it would be worth it!!!

  • I was dissapointed to find out what the value received was for the price purchased. The maids entered the room, even though we placed the ""Sleeping"" sign on the door, when we did not answer the knock on the door. Also bummed when just 2 days prior to leaving for vacation, the hotel price dropped lower than what we purchased it for, just a week before that. Bathrooms need some remodeling and furnishings are probably from the 80s. So, everything smells accordingly, in the room. Next hotel over, had rooms that were remodeled recently, for $ less, per night. A bit dissapointing.

  • the person at the front desk seemed like it was a bother to have to check us in. the carpet in the hallways was puckering down the center with cigarette butts laying around. holes in the hallway walls, just overall dingy and old feeling. seems they are trying to update everythting except the rooms.
