  • The hotel was pretty old but the management appeared to be making a best effort to keep it up. Overall I would rate it adequate. That said, the location is ideal. If youre looking for a no-frills place to stay in downtown San Francisco, the Days Inn Civic Center works. Careful with your credit card though, they charged me again for the room even though I told them at check-in it had been pre-paid through online travel website . Im still trying to get that sorted out...

  • Very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I have stayed in several SF hotels and my three main goals are - convenient location, cheap price and clean room. Location of this hotel was convenient - easily walked to the Castro and South Of Market Areas. Well travelled roads for most of the walks to both areas, so I was not concerned for my safety - even after bar close. Room was clean and well maintained throughout my stay - sheets and towels were changed every day. A little bit of a mildew issue in the shower/tub, but not too bad. One criticism had to do with the hand-held shower head in the shower. I prefer to have a fixed shower head rather than having to hold it as I use it. The room was handicapped accessible, so this might have been unique to this room and other rooms may have had fixed shower heads. Room had a refrigerator and microwave, which was nice. I will keep that in mind for next visit. Overall, a great value for the money. Very close to many activities, but yet very quiet in the room. I will definitely stay here again.
