  • Myself and my two Children stayed in this wonderful hotel for 5 nights it was a pleasure.We could not find a fault with it. It was in walking distance to everythin. Rockerfella center was just Around the corner Broadway was in walking distance. I choose this hotel from reviews I read on this page and everyone had good comments to say.The staff were excelent the whole experence was so relaxing for us. I have told my friends and family to use this hotel and time they stay in New York. The Bell Hop Samuel was such a Pleasant man

  • Myself and my two Children stayed in this wonderful hotel for 5 nights it was a pleasure.We could not find a fault with it. It was in walking distance to everythin. Rockerfella center was just Around the corner Broadway was in walking distance.   • A perfect location to stay and see the sights. The hotel was very clean, very courteous, staffed well and very informative. Frest fruit everyday. Hot breakfast every morning. The room was very clean and adequate. Maids were very sweet. I would definately stay here again as it was located in just the perfect spot. You could go out your door and go up and down very easily. The theatres were close to walk to.and Central Park was also close that you could easily walk there. If you wanted to use the subway, it was just across the street. All the tram touring busses were across the street and down 1/4 block. We didnt hear any traffic from our room which I hear people say was bothersome to them. I would highly recommend this perfectly located hotel.

  • Our stay was wonderful!! We did not realize how close we were to everything involving the action of New York until we stepped outside. We saved so much cab fare staying so close. The hotel was so clean and we enjoyed the breakfast everyday. We would load up on food in the morning and head out for the day. The hotel was so close, we could return to the hotel for a break before we headed out again. I recommend this hotel to anyone. Its a great place to stay.

  • Our stay was wonderful!! We did not realize how close we were to everything involving the action of New York until we stepped outside. We saved so much cab fare staying so close. The hotel was so clean and we enjoyed the breakfast everyday. We would load up on food in the morning and head out for the day. The hotel was so close, we could return to the hotel for a break before we headed out again. I recommend this hotel to anyone. Its a great place to stay.

  • This hotel is in the pefect location. Brought my mother and aunt to NY for their first time. They have a hard time walking far distances, which you tend to do a lot of in NY. This hotel is just steps from all of the theatres, Central Park, Times Square, etc... Subway stop across the street. Greyline Bus Tour office located one block away. Rooms were BIG for NY. Very clean. Had 2 queen sized beds, which is rare in NY. All rooms were renovated in 2007/2008 and include new duvet bedding and nice pillows. Bathrooms were nice and clean as well. A hot breakfast is included in the room price...GREAT value and makes up for the fact that this hotel might be priced a little higher than some others. The convenience of inexpensive on-site parking and free breakfast make this the perfect hotel. This will be our first pick for the next trip to NY.

  • we just stayed for a night . Very resonable price , rooms are neat and clean and there is feeling of freshness . close to times square , central park . good location to cover all the key places of NY city. Complimentry bfast was good. Cons : Towels had a smell of viniger .

  • We come to NYC fairly often, Probably 20 trips in 15 years. We usually stay at a nice little place on the Upper West Side, but wanted to be mid-town as we went to see Les Paul at the Iridium Club half a block away. This hotel will now be the only place we stay in NYC!! I am amazed at the value and quality, coupled with the curteous staff! The room was giant for any city, let alone, New York!! It was clean and well maintained! It is very easy to get to from the turnpike, out of the Holland Tunnel, left on eighth ave and up to 51st on the left. This hotel is close to everything!! Enough restaurants to please anyone, including Pizza, Thai and Brazilian food very close by. Skip the breakfast. No need to stand in a long line for a bagel when $15.00 bucks will get you a very nice breakfast and dining experience nearby.... I took a five mile run in Central Park on Christmas morning. Its only a few blocks north past Columbus Circle! I stopped by the exercise room to stretch a little after run. There are a few decent machines, but really, dont waste your time inside when youre in New York. New York is all about being outside!

  • Everything was great. The beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and best of all, it seemed like everything was within a 15-minute walk from the front doors. Times Square, Central Park, and countless theatres and restaurants are very close by. There was a small plumbing problem we discovered when we returned the first night, but even at midnight someone was up immediately to fix it. I would recommend the Hampton to anyone interested in seeing Broadway shows, or a lot of landmarks. This hotel is reasonably priced, and right in the middle of it all.

  • There were 6 of us girls that came to NY for fun and shopping. This hotel puts you right where you want to be. Close to subways (right across the street) and the theater district. Went to see ""Hairspray"" and it was less than a block away. The beds are soooo comfy. R%ooms with 2 queen beds were large enough for 4 of us late sleepers and all of our stuff. The only negative thing was the carpet could have used a shampoo in our room. Other than that the hotel staff,free breakfast. location, etc is wonderful. Will stay there again and just keep my socks on.

  • I had previously stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn across the street. The Hampton Inn has more personalized service and the staff is very responsive. When fresh washcloths were not provided, it only took one call to Housekeeping to remedy that. Convenient to everything. Fairly quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Its really hard to find something reasonable in Manhattan thats not also a dump, but this comes as close as any place. Very comfortable rooms, good service, spacious lobby. Theater district and Hells Kitchen are right outside the door. We had a great time!

  • Its really hard to find something reasonable in Manhattan thats not also a dump, but this comes as close as any place. Very comfortable rooms, good service, spacious lobby. Theater district and Hells Kitchen are right outside the door. We had a great time!

  • Our trip to NYC to celebrate birthdays was (overall) marvelous! The location of the hotel could not have been better! It was delightfully close to the theatre section. Since we primarily go to see broadway shows, this was perfect for us. Its convenient to almost everything. It is walking distance to Central Park and most of the museums but wear comfortable shoes. If youre not a ""walker"" you can take the subway or a cab, but cabs are pricey. The free breakfast is great, and you can even get it ""to go!! -- We were booked for a room with a sleeper sofa and a king size bed but we got a room with a king size bed and a chair which was obviously not acceptable. They said all that was available. I then called the travel agency and they in turn called the hotel. When still nothing was done, so we went to the desk and asked to see the Manager, and guess what... amazingly they had a room with a sofabed and a king size bed. We never got to see the manager... The room was large and we had an amazing view. The hotel always has a large bowl of apples or cookies in the lobby for a snack and coffee is always available. There are two computers downstairs to use free of charge.

  • The hotel was nice, clean, and had very pleasant staff. The rooms arent huge, but its NYC, so thats typical. The free breakfast was really good, but it gets very busy at certain times of the morning and there are long lines to wait in, but its free breakfast, so you cant complain too much. Just ask the hotel staff what times they recommend for breakfast, and youll be able to avid the rush. We had very noisy neighbors the first night, but the hotel staff took care of it quickly. The location was so convenient - close to Times Square and the Theatre District. Lots of good restaurants around. A quick walk to Central Park. Close to subway stations, making it super easy to use public transportation to get around town. We took the Subway everywhere. A great value for NYC - would definitely stay again!

  • The hotel was nice, clean, and had very pleasant staff. The rooms arent huge, but its NYC, so thats typical. The free breakfast was really good, but it gets very busy at certain times of the morning and there are long lines to wait in, but its free breakfast, so you cant complain too much. Just ask the hotel staff what times they recommend for breakfast, and youll be able to avid the rush. We had very noisy neighbors the first night, but the hotel staff took care of it quickly. The location was so convenient - close to Times Square and the Theatre District. Lots of good restaurants around. A quick walk to Central Park. Close to subway stations, making it super easy to use public transportation to get around town. We took the Subway everywhere. A great value for NYC - would definitely stay again!

  • This was a great hotel!!! The room was very large and the bed one of the most comfortable ever. Location was perfect. Full buffet breakfast was great each morning and free coffee and tea 24hrs was also a plus. The icecream truck at the corner has the best soft serve ever! Avoid diner across the street!! Go down to Little Italy for the best Italian food ever at great prices!!

  • This was a great hotel!!! The room was very large and the bed one of the most comfortable ever. Location was perfect.   • First time in New York and had no idea of what to except. Most hotel reviews discussed the rooms were small and the value to high. The Hampton Inn had large rooms that were clean and well maintained. The cleaning staff were very friendly and willing to provide anything needed. The front desk staff answered all questions and really helped my wife and I get around the city. Breakfast was very good and being included in the price was just great. As you will learn, NYC is not cheap in any area. However, this hotel and location could not have been any greater. I highly recommend it to anyone going to the city. The hotel was remodeled recently and it shows. Again, it was close to the Theaters, Sight-Seeing buses, and ""bright-lights"" of Times Square. I would stay there again without any second thoughts.

Breakfast was excellent, variable, and a lot to eat. Staff is very quick to help and assist us with any needs. Great price, AARP. Great location one block from subway, close to Broadway shows and Times Square. Centrally located. We will come back. Very, very good experience.   • After staying in many Manhattan hotels, we were EXTREMELY impressed from the second we walked in the door. Everyone was polite, helpful, and professional. The room was huge compared to most NYC rooms, perfectly spotless, and a perfect location. Would stay here again in a heartbeat...it was such a treasure compared to other hotels. The price was reasonable, parking directly next door with the parking being only $50 for 2 days !

  • This was our second visit to this hotel and it is a great location in NYC-within walking distance of alot of attractions. Great service, rooms, etc...Our only disappointment was finding out we would not receive any perk points for our trip since we paid thru Travelocity. So despite our satisfaction with the trip, we wouldnt book flights & hotel together in the future.

  • Hampton Inn is in a perfect location away from the most busy streets near Times Square but just a short walk to everywhere. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They always have a smiles upon seeing us. The room is ideal for our 1 week stay, nothing fancy but well maintained daily. The complimentary breakfast was great and sufficient for myself. My wife and daughter slept in daily so they missed it, but they were able to get the on-to-go packages. The apples, cookies, coffee, and hot tea in the lobby were nice compliments. The nearby Rite-Aid store was helpful. There are numerous good restaurants nearby. The 48 hour hop on and off BLUE city tour sightseeing bus was the best bargin-dont miss it. If you want to catch any musicals, WICKED is a must but book tickets in advanced and the theater is just across the street. All theaters are in walking distance. We will defintely return to Hampton Inn on our next trip to Manhattan.
