  • There are plenty of SFO hotel choices. This one has construction underway until 5:30 PM even on weekends. The a/c did not work in our room (75 degrees before I opened the window), brackish water from the sink, a non-working phone and tv, and a $10 wireless Internet signal that was either """"low"""" or """"very low"""" (making it nearly impossible to load files), and empty soda machines.

  • There are plenty of SFO hotel choices. This one has construction underway until 5:30 PM even on weekends. The a/c did not work in our room (75 degrees before I opened the window), brackish water from the sink, a non-working phone and tv, and a $10 wireless Internet signal that was either """"low"""" or """"very low"""" (making it nearly impossible to load files), and empty soda machines.

  • We stayed at this hotel and at first we were pretty impressed at the frontage of the building as it was really nice from the outside. We checked in and they gave us our room. First of all Ipaid 149.00 for the room so I was expecting a nice room. The bathrrom was dirty. I had stains on the toilet bowl. The sink was even broken. We called the manager to have them check the room. They told us they were going to bring us to another one. When we went in to another room it was also dirty and again it had some stains and hairs on the toilet bowl. And I am not exaggerating. We told them that we didnt want the room if they could just give us another room that would be $20.00 more higher than what we paid for. They gave us this room and it was pretty clean. We were ready to get settled when they said that they cant give it to us because we booked it thru a third party which is online travel. Which made me think that just because we did not book it directly through them that they would not even give us the room and that they claim it was already taken. My expections were somewhat high for this hotel since they are from the Hilton family. Ive stayed at a few Hilton hotels before and so far they met my standards. But this hotel does not meet my expectation. And its not even worth the money I spent for the stay.

  • This hotel lives up to its 4 stars. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very nice, clean, and spacious. Location was excellent to get to the airport and other areas in San Francisco, because of the quick freeway access. This property is located with a beautiful view of the water. it also has a beautiful walking trail next to the water. Happy hour and breakfast are free. You can have made to order breakfast omeletes and your choice of drinks for happy hour. Wonderful experience. Recommend highly. Food at the restaurant was very good. My only complaint was the waiter charged us 15% and 19% gratuity (total of 34%) on our bill. When brought to his attention, he changed it to 19% and deleted the 15%. Not sure if this was intentional or a mistake. It shouldnt have happened.

  • This hotel lives up to its 4 stars. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very nice, clean, and spacious.   • Booked elsewhere first but glad we switched after traveling with 4 yo and 10 mo. Pluses: suite with crib and pullout, excellent complimentary breakfast, evening reception, views of 9-story garden atrium and bay, nice-sized refrigerator, microwave, indoor heated pool, helpful staff, and easy access. Negatives: parking (free but a hike after 5) and pool overcrowding (""""sleepover weekend special"""" meant 25+ raucous kids with little supervision), and non-complimentary wireless (business center near lobby). Highly recommend for families traveling to Bay area.

  • My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this Embassy Suites. We checked into this hotel on March 30, 2007. We spoke to X, the sales manager there, elling him that we would be there for at least two months, and he gave us a fantastic room overlooking the bay, on the ninth floor.While the beauty of the hotel speaks for itself, I would like to commend the entire staff there! The employees were exceptionally attentive and efficient. X invited us to an Open House while we were there and although he was extremely busy, took time to speak with us and to ensure that our visit was coming along smoothly. We had two sets of guests while we were there, and X gave them the same quality of room and service that we had by then grown accustomed to. It seemed to have one hundred percent occupancy rates on the weekends. Though staying in a hotel for over four and a half months is not something we had planned on, we never expected the degree of kindness and appreciation that the staff showed to us. Specifically, along with X, we enjoyed the bartenders, the hostess at the restaurant who greeted us with a smile and personal welcome every time we entered the restaurant; and our hotel housekeeper, who always went the extra measure to ensure the room was always absolutely perfect!I can honestly say that The Burlingame Embassy Suites was like a second home to us, and should we ever have the opportunity to visit the area again, we will be staying at this specific hotel, and we will certainly recommend it to others who happen to visit the area.

  • One family allowed their kids to use the business room for 3 hours until I complained. It became a childs computer room. The pool was so full my children did not want to use it.They used a crane for building repair at 7am. The room airconditioning is antiquated and noisy like a fleebag hotel The beds are uncomfortable. The room smelled of carpet cleaner.The resturant is terrible and overpriced. The brunch was so overwhelmed they ran out of coffee.The worst embasey suite hotel ever.

  • We were traveling with our baby so we were concerned about the room. It was very clean and it was great to have a door partitioning the bedroom and living room. The complimentary breakfast (e.g., french toast, breakfast burritos, etc) was delicious and so was the complimentary happy hour (e.g., wine, beer, margaritas, etc.). We would definitely stay again!! One of the issues that arose was that we reserved a king sized bed but were given two doubles. The front desk corrected it immediately and sent someone up with different room keys. The other issue was that our friend told the front desk that he locked himself out of our room and he was issued another key without giving any information other than the room number. That was a little concerning. But overall great hotel and service!!

  • The view was great, the mountains, the bay, the city off in the distance. The service was great. Everyone was truely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, but the highlight was breakfast. It was 6 days of awesome, from the made to order omlets to the fruit and cereal. there was something for everyones taste and taste it all we did. We had a great 7 days and nights, we couldnt have made a better choice.

  • I have stayed at many Embassy Suites before but this one was not up to par at all. The main thing that draws you to the hotel is the breakfast, which at this location was awlful. It was not the same omlets and pancakes that I have had before. Also, we had reserved a non-smoking suite with 2 double beds but were initally given a SMOKING room with a king bed. There was also a note in the room welcoming someone else. After bringing this to the attention of the front desk, we were then given another room. This room did match the reservation (why we didnt have that one in the first place...who knows!) but it seemed like someone else had just been in there...waste basket not emptied, dirty carpet, dents in couch like someone was just sitting there. As it was late, we did not complain about this but later on we discovered that the sink had a slow leak and the phones in the room did not work. This hotel seemed disorganized and I would not recommend anyone to stay there again.

  • My two room """"executive suite"""" had a poorly furnished front room; the bedroom was nice though - incl. view. Wakeup call never came! No early morning room service :-(. Rude front desk. Would not stay again.

  • The carpet deodorizer was overpowering. I had to ask for the room to be vacuumed twice and the next day they put more down. The weather stripping on the sliding glass door was leaking a major amount of air and I asked to have someone come and put some caulking or silicone to fix the air gap and damaged frame (more than 1-2"" separated from the main casing). They came and put duct tape on the whole middle seem, which obviously made the window inoperable.Major construction all day and the night club at night. Random people running up and down the halls most of the night. Then one night they decided to steam clean the restaurants till 2:30 am. The howl of the vehicle was unbelievable.The flat screens were nice but that was the extend of the room. Lumpy bed, some times no coffee no tissues, ancient microwaves, out of date room service menus, inoperable phone system. After asking for several things no one person at the front desk apologized. I travel all the time and I must say this is the worst embassy suites by far and possibly, for the money, one of the worst stays. I would think twice before booking here.

  • My wife and I stayed six days in this hotel and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff was helpful and made many suggestions for sightseeing and places to eat. The room was lovely, and the view was great (Especially at sunrise). The breakfast was wonderful although crowded at times, and the evening managers reception gave us time to relax and have a few drinks. The only thing that was not perfect was the parking, as the hotel is very busy and sometimes we did have to park a distance from the front door. We will be back.

  • My wife and I stayed six days in this hotel and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff was helpful and made many suggestions for sightseeing and places to eat. The room was lovely, and the view was great (Especially at sunrise). The breakfast was wonderful although crowded at times, and the evening managers reception gave us time to relax and have a few drinks. The only thing that was not perfect was the parking, as the hotel is very busy and sometimes we did have to park a distance from the front door. We will be back.

  • Stayed for a week with this hotel as our base to visit areas around San Francisco. As always, the included breakfast was top notch. Suite was large and on the Bay. They put us on top floor upon special request which needed a key from 9th floor to access. Quiet hotel with nice atrium with many trees, paths, ponds with fish. Parking was free. If do not want to stay in downtown San Francisco, this place is awesome. Close, say 8 minutes, to airport. Staff was excellent addressing our concerns instantly.

  • Our family stayed in the Embassy Suites for 4 nights (Wednesday - Saturday). Paid $169 for 1st two nights, $164 for last two nights.Pros - The front desk was helpful checking us in early. The room was clean and the flatscreens were new. During the two weekdays the breakfast area was quiet and staffed appropriately. The quality of the food (including fresh fruit) was very good. Have a couple of coffee machines (open during breakfast and snacks) that were nice (espresso, cafe latte, etc).Cons - Over the weekend the hotel was extremely noisy and congested due to outside functions that went late into the night. Parking was non-existent those evenings. The breakfast area during the weekend was overcrowded as wasnt staffed appropriate for the number of people being served. Snacks at Managers reception consists of goldfish, pretzels and nacho chips. For hot food you must go to overpriced restaurant in hotel. Kids had more activities at other Embassy Suites.

Yes, the weekends are very busy, as someone else wrote, however, I have never experienced the friendliness and professionalism of the staff anywhere else. From the housekeeping staff, the maintenance staff, and the bar staff, to the manager, ALL have been wonderful for us. Most of the views are tremendous, the evening reception is relaxing and the breakfast is wonderful. For anyone visiting San Francisco, it is an easy 15 minute drive to the city.

  • I have stayed at this hotel twice. One alone and then once with my wife and daughter. The hotel is excellent and the staff is great from the moment you walk in the door. The rooms are great and the entire property is Beautiful. The hotel is a short BARTS ride from downtown SF but the money you save on the included breakfast makes up for it. Be sure you take advantage of it because it is cooked to order and more than expected. I plan on returning in the next few months and intend to stay here again.

  • Nos gusto mucho el hotel. por su estructura fisica, y por el personal muy amable.Me sorprendio mucho los arboles, ; las plantas y los peces que estaban en el patio central donde pudimos disfrutar los ricos desayunos, los tragitos del happy hours.Ya se lo recomende a un companero de trabajo.La vista a la bahia impresionante.p.d.No quiero dejar de felicitar la senora que limpiaba la habitacion ...Muy pero muy amable. No lo pueden creer,jpero estas personas pueden influir mucho en la satisfacion del cliente.

  • Just returned from 1 night WONDERFUL stay at this Embassy Suites. All staff were kind, courteous & accommodating. Despite early flight / early arrival at 10 a.m., they got us into a room promptly (hours before check-in!) The free shuttle to & from SFO airport is promt, and divers are very courteous & helpful. Check in was a breeze, despite our early arrival. We found our room very comfortable, wonderful bay view - watch airplanes land & take off from SFO yet we were NEVER interrupted by air traffic noise - could not hear the planes at all. Beds were dreamy - comfortable, clean. Nice shower & bathroom. Beautiful furniture - like a home! Unbelievable having 2 FLAT SCREEN TVs in our room (one is in the separate living room with desk).The MADE-TO-ORDER breakfast was amazing. They cook what you want right in front of you: Pancakes, french toast, hash browns, eggs however you like them, sausage, bacon, hard-boiled eggs, breakfast burrito. Custom made omlettes (veggie, sausage - lots of choices - you tell them what you want & they make it). LOTS of juice & beverage choices (Passion Orange Guava!), even espresso drinks, latte, mocha, hot chocolate - whatever you want - ALL FREE (included in the room price)! Had great lunch in the on-site restaurant. Stopped for a drink at the bar: Good drinks, friendly service. The property is BEAUTIFUL: palm trees, plants & water features in atrium! Pool & TWO hot tubs (whirlpools) are VERY nice - NOT CROWDED - very peaceful. Free computer use with internet & FREE PRINTING. Convenient kiosk in the lobby to print your boarding passes. Flight status monitors / screens mounted in lobby (and theyre accurate!). We HIGHLY recommend this hotel & plan to return again soon! Its worth every penny!

  • The day we checked in they were having a wedding reception and it was really crowded. that night and the next day was packed with kids everywhere running around unsupervised, exspecially in the pool area and around the breakfast area. i had to ask the maids for bath soap and coffee, because they did not leave any in the room when they cleaned. the toilet backed up the 2nd night and trying to get someone to take care of it and clean it up took forever and the a/c did seem to work very well until i adjusted the thermostat down to about 66 degrees. i was not impressed with the hotel at all. I HAVE STAYED AT MUCH BETTER EMBASSY SUITES.
