  • This hotel is centrally located in the Fishermans Wharf area. The staff is absolutely amazing. They can arrange anything for you. The concierge is quite helpful. There are plenty of restaurants and entertainment in the area. A Safeway grocery exists across the street.

  • This hotel is centrally located in the Fishermans Wharf area. The staff is absolutely amazing. They can arrange anything for you. The concierge is quite helpful. There are plenty of restaurants and entertainment in the area. A Safeway grocery exists across the street.

  • When I checked in there were no """"No Smoking"""" rooms available, which I had requested. I stayed in the Smoked In room that night and moved to another room the next day. They did give me a bottle of champagne and moved my luggage. The staff seemed to be overworked and it showed in the way they treated some of the guests and how they spoke on the phone. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience.

  • When I checked in there were no """"No Smoking"""" rooms available, which I had requested. I stayed in the Smoked In room that night and moved to another room the next day.   • Upon arrival, theyd given our room away. They gave us a one-bed tiny room, stuffed in a rollaway, and continued making excuses for why we didnt get the room we had confirmed. They only comped us breakfast after our insistence that we were owed something. For a highly rated hotel, I was extremely disappointed in the staff and their dismissal of us. Id never stay there again, nor recommend it.

  • Had a great stay at the Tuscan Inn, a great location near Fishermans Wharf, walked to Coit Tower, Chinatown and even to the ferry building downtown. Loved the free wine and pizza from 5-7 and free biscotti and coffee in the morning. The room was small but luxurious.

  • Just returned from our trip to San Fran. and we had a marvelous time. The people at the hotel were awesome. Any questions or directions, and even the best way for transportation, they were very helpful. We were consistently on the go. Pier 39 was out of backdoor, everything was within walking distance. The food was awesome. But most of all, the staff acted like they knew you forever. It was great to be part of their family while we were there.

  • We loved this hotel! It had the most comfortable bed of any hotel we have ever stayed in, it even had a down comforter and many comfy pillows on the bed. The room was a bit small but the decor was lovely, and everything was super clean and modern. The staff were eager to help, prompt and efficient.The location was perfect for us, a two and one/half blocks stroll put us at the Wharf, or three and one/half blocks in the opposite direction took us to Pier 39. We were close to all the tourist attractions and many excellent restaurants, and only 1 block from the street car and trolley, plus cabs were immediatly at hand whenever we wanted one. This will be the place we stay when next we visit San Francisco and I recommend it highly. My husband and I had a wonderful time.

  • This hotel was in close proximity to all ground transportation including city tours. It was easy to arrange pick up and drop offs from tour companies, making a rental car unnecessiary. The hotel staff including Hugo the concierge were courtious and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Morning coffiee and biscotti were wonderful as was the wine hour in the evening.The Italian restaruant in the hotel was wonderful, and discount coupons were available from the check in desk.I would definatly stay here again, however without a pool I do not thing it would be much fun for those with children.I would definatly stay here again.

  • Had a very nice stay at the Tuscan with my daughters. Beautiful hotel with nice very comfortable rooms. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Walking distance to Fishermans Wharf. Parking at the hotel was 38.00. Would definitely stay again.

  • You will not be disappointed when you come here. The rooms are so clean and fresh 500 thread count sheets with feathered pillows made our stay so comfortable. The cable car turn around is right behind the hotel. So we took the bart train from the airport to Powell station and then took the Mason cable car line to our Hotel. Its a perfect location! Just a hop and skip away from the Wharf and Pier 39. Waldenbooks down the street. Grocery store on the east side and bus stop across the street. We were able to go everywhere and see everything from this Hotel. We even had pizza delivery to our room one evening. We cant wait to come back. Its a beautiful Hotel and the people there are helpful and friendly. They even have a guy waiting in the Lobby to help you plan sightseeing tours and such. Concierge 24-7. So amazing :-)

  • Just returned from a 4 day stay and enjoyed every minute. Staff were pleasant and helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable - although a bit small. Coffee and biscotti in the mornong and wine in the evening were nice touches. Hotel is perfect for visitors - close to Fishermans wharf, pier 39, cable cars, and within walking distance of North Beach (Italian section) and Chinatown. There is a Dollar Rent al Car Agency in the hotel across the street for extended tours. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff was just okay, and there is a $36. a day parking fee that was not mentioned upfront. This hotel is much nicer than a lot of them in that area.

  • We stayed here for three evenings and I expected a little more after reading the reviews. We first got a room in the corner that had construction RIGHT outside the window. Since we arrived early in the day, we were hoping to take a nap before going out due to the travel time. We asked to be moved but there was not another room availbable yet. The front desk said as soon as one was avaiable they would come up and move our stuff to the next room and just to check in for the key when we got back. Well they did not do that right, so we had to wait longer when we returned that evening for a room to be ready. We finally got set up in a room with 2 double beds but she failed to mention it was a smoking room! We gave up because we didnt want to move again. Then a maid tried to come hang out in our room and just walked in with the key. They obviously didnt get the memo that someone was staying there!On the positive side, the happy hour was nice and it was in a great location. The beds were pretty comfy but the bathroom area was tiny, but updated (although we did have a blood stain on the curtain!) Maybe I just got a run of bad luck, but I was let down.

  • My wife and I have stayed at the Tuscan Inn before. It is clean, acceptably priced for S.F., and very convenient for a variety of locations. The room was a little small, but it was charming and very clean on the courtyard side of the hotel. The hotel provides nice biscotti and decent coffee in the mornings.   • My wife and I have stayed at the Tuscan Inn before. It is clean, acceptably priced for S.F., and very convenient for a variety of locations. The room was a little small, but it was charming and very clean on the courtyard side of the hotel. The hotel provides nice biscotti and decent coffee in the mornings.   • Our room was absolutely lovely, although dresser drawers and closet were small. The bed was very comfortable. Windows dont open - so no fresh air. Internet is free. I needed something printed two different times, and after following their directions I went to the front desk and was able to get it right away. There is a small refrigerator, but it was stocked so very little space for our own ""goodies"". The location is perfect - two blocks from Fishermans Wharf and only a block to the street car and trolley. The bathroom was large and included a mounted makeup mirror. Towels were large and soft. The shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion they provide is heavenly! Coffeemaker in the room and when ""regular"" coffee wasnt left one day, it was delivered immediately when I requested it. Lots and lots of restaurants nearby. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again.

We purposely chose this hotel because it was within walking distance of all our planned activities, so our car was parked when we got there, and they got it out for us when we left!!!! Hardly seems worth $*!!! But, that was my ONLY complaint...

  • This hotel was quite and had great location 2 blocks from Fishermans Wharf and 2 Blocks from the cable car. The room was very clean and the bed was confortable. We would stay here again. Avoid the weekend if you can because the rate jumped very high. They had a happy hour every evening for an hour with free wine and beer. The view from our room was not good but we didnt spend much time in the room.

  • My wife and I stayed at the Best Western Tuscan Inn on our most recent trip to San Francisco. It is a well-kept, customer-oriented hotel. The rooms are not too big, but they are clean and tasteful. I would recommend a room at the back or sides of the hotel rather than the front for noise purposes. It is convenient to many destinations, such as Fishermans Wharf, the Cannery, and North Beach. Directly across the street., you can find a bus that goes up Van Ness to the Cith Hall area. The hotel also offers decent coffee and biscotti in the mornings and an evening reception that makes people feel like welcome guests. We would certainly return.

  • We only had one night to stay in San Fransisco and so choose this one because of vacancy, dollar price, and location. The location was great, walking distance to the wharf and tour busses, cable cars ect. The employees were very friendly. We arrived in the morning so we parked our car with the valet so that we could walk around and was supposed to be called when our room was ready but never was called. Very pretty waiting area. The rooms were OK. Ours looked right into the next door neighbors windows so had to keep the shades closed. The bathroom is split into a sink and mirror(a little small), with the tub and toilet in a separate room. Couldnt figure out the air ventilation in the room. Followed the thermostat instructions but still wouldnt work. The bed was a little hard but the room was very clean. We havnt stayed at very many big city hotels but thought that the price for value was a little high. The parking was $$ a night which could add up if you stayed here for very many nights! However, the prices that I saw for parking in the same area went for $$. The valet person was very helpful, with our car and directions on where to go. If I couldnt find any other hotels in this area for cheaper, then I would probably stay here again because of location but I would do some research first. And they ran out of cups and drinks for the morning coffee. Had to ask them to refill at 8:00 A.M.

  • This is a great hotel located in the middle of fishermans wharf. You are literally blocks away from begin in the middle of all the spots. The hotel is cosy and you wouldnt believe how great the service was here. everyone were accommodating and this was great since we had booked this hotel for our marathon. The price rate was great considering it was a pretty busy weekend.

  • We stayed there 15 years ago, it was wonderful then and is better now, The most pleasant facility in Fishermans Wharf. Charming lobby with evening wine tasting. Concierge Staff is first rate. The hotel staff treats you as a person rather than a customer. A terrific value, convenient to everything.
