  • The front desk was not friendly as I booked this through the travel agent. They put us in a handicapped accessible room where the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor. I cought the housekeeper washing the glasses in the bathroom sink and then putting them back on the table with a fresh cover. I had to complained to management and was given a new room by a very nice manager on our 3rd day there. The other weekend managers just brushed me off

  • I love the fact that it was pet friendly, but the bar staff was extremely rude. The rooms all come with complimentary Poland spring, but to get the refills, i was told to go to the bar. I go to the bar and the staff COMPLETELY freaks out like theyve never seen a dog before and they kick me out without even giving me any water. Even after i offered to stand outside the bar to have somebody bring me water, they refused. However, the room service brought it up to me immediately (and i do mean immediately) after i complained. The rooms were small and the hallways are really really really LONG. The hotel staff was very friendly and the maids were always friendly saying ""hi"" and petting my dog. Also, the food is VERY VERY overpriced. $* for a slice, ONE slice of toast. However, its located close to the zoo and many tour buses stop literally right outside the hotel, so that was very convenient. The elevators are terribly designed as only two elevators in the WHOLE hotel goes to the parking garage underneath. Poorly designed on their part. Lastly, there was one bed bug, but it was only on the morning we were leaving.

  • Well, i first must say that this was my first trip to Vegas and my first time staying at a Ballys hotel. We booked for three nights to celebrate Valentines Day, arrival Wed-departure Sat. The room was very nice, junior suite, view of the Eiffel tower of the Paris Hotel, once we entered the room, we were pleased with how expansive and wonderful the suite was. The soak in tub was very nice, and i loved the double vanity for my husband. I was loving it. Until the morning of Friday, 2/15 i woke up with bites on my wrists and one on my eye lid. I found it strange, i was itchy all day, and honestly thought it may have been mosquitos. Then on Saturday morning 2/16 i was awakened by a sharp pain on my forearm, and began to scratch. I turned on the lights, found a big welt on my arm, looked on the bed, and there was a bed bug! i immediately called housekeeping and front desk.20 minutes later, Housekeeping arrived, and took the bug away after i took pictures of the bug and my bites. Prior to She tried to persuade me to not report to make an incident report to security, She insisted that she cleaned the room well and changed the sheets everyday. I still wanted to write formal complaint and while i had security in my room giving the written report to him, my husband finds another bed bug on his side of the bed. I took second bug downstairs to the hotel manager.(mind you, this is now a full hour and a half taken away from my vacation) All staff was gracious, genuinely concerned and apologized, What a terrible ending to a beautiful stay at the Ballys...

  • I came to stay on business and was very disappointed with the hotel. I have to say the staff was very helpful and polite. However, I was in my room for 30 minutes when my door got keyed in to while I was in there and a gentleman said ""oops"" and high tailed it out of there. When I ask the front office staff they couldnt give me an explanation. the room was small, the view was of construction, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls and the room was at the far extreme of the hall and it seemed like I walked for an hour just to get to the elevator. Ugh! I would not recommend. The metro wasnt too far though, just about 3 blocks down the hill.

  • The hotel was alright if you just plan on sleeping there at night. The TV in our room had blown out speakers and there was a major renovation underway. The only thing that really irritated me is that THERE IS NO PARKING... PARKING IN THE AFFILIATED GARAGE IS 23$ A DAY!!!! That pissed me off more than anything else. It was very close to the Metro which was a saving grace. The staff were really friendly in helping me out with info on how to navigate DC. Like the title says... If my wife and I were there to lounge in the hotel room, it would have been horrible... But since we just slept there, it was not bad, but far from good.

  • Stay away from this place... First, they wouldnt accept my Hilton Honors as I purchased through a online travel website. That was OK but then -1.) The hotel is being renovated. I got in early in the afternoon hoping to do some work. No luck. There were hammers, power saws, etc. going constantly2.) The rooms were dirty - stained comforter, stained towels, stained rugs3.) I was on the 1st floor....ice machine didnt work... Went to the second and it didnt work... third didnt work... finally got ice on the 5th floor4.) Although I asked daily, I didnt get a wash cloth until the last day I was there5.) Im surprised they didnt charge me for the wash clothes... there were extra charges for Internet, the gym, etcBad experience. I stay at Hilton hotels 50 - 60 nights a year. This one really made me question if the chain isnt on life support... I read somewhere that Hilton was being sued for stealing someone elses ideas. They must have gotten this idea from the Motel 6... A dump.

  • I have stayed here and the hilton embassy down the street. Both numerous time. The room are clean and spacious especially for four girls getting ready for a night in the town. Also a $5 cab ride to most bars

  • The room was small. It wasnt what I expected staying at Hilton. The room does not compare to the lobby area. The worst was the bathroom. The toilet sits under the sink counter and against the wall with the toilet paper roll holders (2) crowding your seat as you relieved yourself. In order to accomplish this task, you were forced to sit at a slight diagonal and the seat shifted. In addtiion, the sink drain hole at the top of the sink, was not clean at all. It had black build up at least an 8th if an inch thick. I had to cover that part of the sink with a towel, it was so gross. Pilllows are the most uncomfortable, even using three they shrunk to the size of less than one. I was truly disappointed. I would have been better off bunking outdoors in a tent somewhere. Even the humidity was noticeable in the room since the AC wasnt that great. I stayed at a Hampton Inn in New York and a Sheraton in Philadelphia ten times better than this room.

  • I learned that if the room reservation has been pre-paid, then one cannot charge bar or restaurant service to the room. The credit card computer system at the cocktail lounge broke down, and they had to resort to the old-fashioned system, causing delay and inconvenience to the customers. The room was adequate; but (like most U.S. hotels) it did not have a mini-fridge. Not even a mini-bar. The front desk was courteous and helpful. We had to park our own car, and it was hard even to find a parking place. The location cant be beat.

  • This hotel is in a very nice and apparently safe location with access to DC Metro, local shops, dinning, and night life. Our family enjoyed our 4 night stay. Appears to be great conference hotel (thought none attended this trip). Spacious lobby and restaurants. On site parking $$ like all DC. Room size was small but average for area. Rate was phenomenal!   • This hotel is in a very nice and apparently safe location with access to DC Metro, local shops, dinning, and night life. Our family enjoyed our 4 night stay. Appears to be great conference hotel (thought none attended this trip). Spacious lobby and restaurants. On site parking $$ like all DC. Room size was small but average for area. Rate was phenomenal! Thanks!

  • We chose to stay here because it was supposed to be 0.5 miles from the zoo, it is not. It is 1.6 miles from the Hilton to the Zoo entrance. The second reason we chose to stay here is that it has a fitness center. We are fitness buffs and this is important to us. The fittness center is open from 7AM-8PM on sat and sunday. This is exactly the hours we where out on the town for buisness. The two main expectations we had where not met. Usually we stay at a more economocal place in Alexanderia for about $150 less what this place cost, and we would have got the same service. The metro ride from Alexanderia is about the same time it takes to walk to the zoo from the Hilton, and if the fitness center is not open when I need I really do not need one.The room was clean but small, smaller then much cheaper rooms at other economy places. All in all the location is not too bad but for the money I will never stay here again.

  • We enjoyed our stay. Room was small and simple (no fridge, no microwave...) but was a TREMENDOUS VALUE ($* per night!) for the location. The only problem: we ran across a half eaten chocolate bar behind the chair and someones crock (shoe) under the bed and the room smelled like it had formerly been a smoking room (as long as we kept the AC fan on the smell was not bad). Be careful of the hotels distance to things--I think some things (zoo, subway station) are farther than they say.

The only problem: we ran across a half eaten chocolate bar behind the chair and someones crock (shoe) under the bed and the room smelled like it had formerly been a smoking room (as long as we kept the AC fan on the smell was not bad). Be careful of the hotels distance to things--I think some things (zoo, subway station) are farther than they say.

  • The hotel was very nice, but we felt the rooms were really small. I was also a little disappointed in the quality of the toilet and tissue paper--very poor quality for such a nice hotel.

  • The hotel was ok, customer service left something to be desired. No one could answer any questions about the area. There must have been a towel shortage, we were shorted towels and I heard other guests wondering what happen to towels and washcloths. The room was decent, not filthy not sparkling clean either. The rate we got was worth it for the stay, I would not pay more than $* for a room in this hotel. Not impressed at all with the places to eat in the hotel or around the hotel.

  • Hotel is under going construction, we were told before hand, construction did not interfer with sleeping, noisy during the day, but it wasnt a problem, good deal for DC. if you can live with a little noise during the day go for it
