  • This hotel overcharged us for valet parking. The gentlemen who work in valet parking were rude and acted as if they were doing you a favor each time you picked up or returned your vehicle. The hotel is not centrally located. The room was nice though but next time I will stay in the South Beach area.

  • This hotel overcharged us for valet parking. The gentlemen who work in valet parking were rude and acted as if they were doing you a favor each time you picked up or returned your vehicle. The hotel is not centrally located. The room was nice though but next time I will stay in the South Beach area.

  • Despite walking into what we thought was a beautiful hotel, we were shocked to find our ""suites"" in substandard condition. They were ""old"" and ""run down."" The paint was peeling in the bathroom, the tile chipped. The shower drain was plugged up; the water collected in the tub and would take many minutes to drain out. The windows providing our ""ocean view"" were filthy - literally filthy. There were many light bulbs out in the room at the time of check in (they were never changed). WORST OF ALL - BUYER BEWARE - the hotel has an ancient elevator system that echos loudly throughout the guest rooms each time one is summoned to a new floor. I swear, it sounded like an airplane was landing in our room at all hours of the night and day. We will NEVER return to this establishment and want to ""warn"" anyone that is thinking of spending time there to think again! There is NO WAY anyone could relax with the existing elevator system in place; and until they get it fixed, and put some improvements into their rooms.

  • The Miami Beach Resort and Spa was an overall good. Went away with friends, and we didnt want to stay too close to South Beach so the location is great if you want to be 5-10 minutes away from Lincoln Rd and SB. The staff at the hotel was great, and the pool was warm and enormous. Since the hotel has direct beach access its nice to have a nice lunch at the bar and grill and then take a nice long walk on the beach. I had a nice massage at the spa and the fitness staff were nice and friendly. The are two issues that I had. The hotel is a little dated and could use a little updating. The room was not as clean as it could be, the headboard, end tables, and clock were really dusty! The coffee maker was really dirty inside the area where you pour in the water. I had to clean it myself. However, if you are not a coffee drinker and wanted a copy of tea, it will end up tasting like coffee anyway. The cups also had coffee stains, I definitely had to clean them before drinking out of them. Other than that the experience was nice for a quick getaway.

  • The Miami Beach Resort and Spa was an overall good.   • the way this hotel is presented on the web site doesnt reflect the reality....we were there for a romantic weekend and hotel was the dissapointing part of our trip.hotel was full of kids and teenages, we had to wait for elevator for more that 20 min. we felt like we are in a kids camp:)our bathroom had mold on the walls and ceiling and water was not running through. I informed hotels manager about certain inconvenience that we were facing, and she promissed to change the room next day. Well, It never happenned, even the following day and the day after...the only respond I was getting- ""sorry, nothing is available, please have free breakfast"", which was not in my intrest! I can pay for my breakfast, but I cant fix and clean hotels bathroom:):)

  • AS We pulled up to the Hotel, the Look of it was beautiful... However on the website it said VALET was 22.00 and they had Changed the Price to 25.00 a day.. Ok.. Very Nice Lobby area.. We get out Room on the 6th Floor.. and the Room was Very out dated, nothing in the Room MATCHED.. I mean the Room was Very big.. but wasnt Clean.. The bathroom had hair in the tub.. water stains in the shower head, the Shower Curtin was Moldy and orange from the water, Pillows was Horrible.. WATEER WAS COLD as EVER, and the heated pool was not working the 2nd day that i was there.. However the people were very friendly, and room service was good.. but I like a CLEAN Room, and the room and the bathroom was not clean, the windows were Sooo dirty u could barely see outta them, and the Rug smelled bad... and it was COLD in the Rooms, when i called to turn the heat on.. the lady told me WE DONT HAVE HEAT...I wouldnt stay here again...

  • The staff who were not helpful. In fact they were rude. there was one incident that came to mind. i went downstairs to ask for a menu. The staff member was busy talking Spanish with a couple. i asked if he could assist me. he answered very short and matter of fact that he was busy. a woman employee came up at the same time. so i asked her for assistance in getting a menu. clearly she was heading behind the counter. but she said she didnt know if they had menus in the back. as she walked away she muttered something in spanish.Not GOOD.i am very disappointed by the poor service and lack of regard

  • When I pulled up I thought wow what a nice hotel. The lobby was beautiful. When I got to my room i was very disappointed it looked very dated. Ive stayed in Holiday Inns that had nicer rooms. My room was too cold so I checked the thermostat only to find out there was no option for heat just to turn the a/c off. There was no remote for my TV. called the front desk they brought another remote but it didnt work either we finally get that situation resloved. The next day when i got back to my room i noticed that my tub was filled with dirty water. When house keeping was in they filled the tub up with wated and never cleaned it!! (so nasty) I left a pair of sock under the cover on purpose to see if they were really making the beds and not to any surprise i found my sock right where i left them. It seems as though they just pulled the sheet up and tucked them in there was still big wrinkles in the sheets. The room just didnt seem clean. The celing in the over the bath tub had midew on it and the tub seemed to be stained.

  • This resort is definitely a great deal! If youre looking to have a relaxing, quiet vacation, it is perfect. The staff is friendly, and the amenities are great. If you want to be right in the middle of the South Beach action, this isnt the place for you, as it is in a more secluded area. But if you want a lovely beachfront location, without being surrounded by the party/tourist atmosphere, then its perfect. And if you want to enjoy the Miami Beach nightlife, its only a $10 cab ride away. My room had a great view of both the beach and downtown Miami (and it was only considered ""partial water view""). The pool and beach area are lovely. The hotel restaurants had surprisingly good service and food compared to many other hotels where Ive stayed. And having a spa/salon on site was fabulous. I absolutely loved my stay, and I would go back anytime.

  • This resort is definitely a great deal! If youre looking to have a relaxing, quiet vacation, it is perfect. The staff is friendly, and the amenities are great. If you want to be right in the middle of the South Beach action, this isnt the place for you, as it is in a more secluded area. But if you want a lovely beachfront location, without being surrounded by the party/tourist atmosphere, then its perfect. And if you want to enjoy the Miami Beach nightlife, its only a $10 cab ride away. My room had a great view of both the beach and downtown Miami (and it was only considered ""partial water view""). The pool and beach area are lovely. The hotel restaurants had surprisingly good service and food compared to many other hotels where Ive stayed. And having a spa/salon on site was fabulous. I absolutely loved my stay, and I would go back anytime.

  • I visited with two girlfriends for a Miami Beach getaway. The staff was pleasant and helpful from the valet staff, housekeeping and concierge service. The spa, though a bit pricey, offers excellent service and was a welcome addition to our getaway. We enjoyed the room, general spaces, amenities and location. We plan to stay in the Miami Beach Resort & Spa again on a return trip to the area.

  • I didn;t like the fact that they didnt have any events for the guest. theyhave a very nice pool side area but for memorial day they should have had a polside party or evening in one of there ballrooms.

  • Being a New Yorker, you have high expectations (its in our blood I guess :-) ) So reading the mixed reviews about this hotel had me a bit skeptical. Thankfully, it was certainly all that it was cracked up to be. Upon arriving we had a bit of a discouraging scare when we were told our room was ready for us, and we go up to find the people before us had literally just left...so the room was not made...Considering we got there relatively early in the morning, finding out they usually only let people check in @ 4,we just threw the bikinis on and headed for the pool. By the time we got back up, it was in tip-top shape; so it certainly wasnt a big deal. We were in a ""Partial Ocean View which gave us the best of both worlds having the bay to the left and the ocean on the right. BEAUTIFUL Lobby/Outdoor Pool & bar area &10 min away from South Beach ($10 cab ride). Spa was great and the massages were amazing! Extremely friendly & courteous staff. Its certainly a place for both family and friend getaways...So if you know how to roll with the punches and make the best of your trip then STAY HERE! If you are a constant complainer then stay @ the Delano for $5,000/night. Looking forward to my next stay down there!!

  • my experience was very good in this hotel, the attention is on the part of the workers is pleasant, the rooms comfortable and clean, the swimming pool cleaning it only needs a little decoration to the environs of pools.la eaten this cooked good but the prices are a little high. it is a good option to spend a time pleasant you can also rest

The food at the reosrt is sub par cosidering the great food thats available on Miami Beach so why eat at the hotel and pay the same price you would outside? The fees are ridiculous, $22 a day to park and a $10 resort fee when we didnt even use any of the amenties since they werent nice.

  • Customer Service was unfriendly, very unaccomodating and required us to pay a higher deposit because of it. The hotel room upon arriving was not clean, the table and counter area were not wiped down at all. We called Housekeeping immediately, they did come up quickly to clean it. The bathtub was dirty as well. There are three areas to dine in, one closed, the other reserved, and the only option we had, bad service and overpriced. There are not any restaurants close enough to walk to, taxi drive is 15 minutes.Upon leaving, we had requested a taxi to be called, 20 minutes later, no taxi, requested two more times, again, customer service, very unhelpful. Finally, we had tracked down a taxi and the bellhop was very helpful then in assisting when he realized we would be late for our flight. Would not recommend this hotel.

  • Customer Service was unfriendly, very unaccomodating and required us to pay a higher deposit because of it. The hotel room upon arriving was not clean, the table and counter area were not wiped down at all. We called Housekeeping immediately, they did come up quickly to clean it. The bathtub was dirty as well. There are three areas to dine in, one closed, the other reserved, and the only option we had, bad service and overpriced. There are not any restaurants close enough to walk to, taxi drive is 15 minutes.Upon leaving, we had requested a taxi to be called, 20 minutes later, no taxi, requested two more times, again, customer service, very unhelpful. Finally, we had tracked down a taxi and the bellhop was very helpful then in assisting when he realized we would be late for our flight. Would not recommend this hotel.

  • I liked the hotel. I loved that the pool was open late, and the beach was accessible at all hours. It made for a sweet and peaceful walk at night. I loved the mini bar in my room, but the bed was SO uncomfortable and far from luxurious. I didnt really like my view, it was just ok! The location was peaceful and a short (5-10 min) drive to south beach. I would stay here again for one or two nights, just for the service, pool and beach.   • Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Room was good, (15th floor), it was old, but remodeled and clean. The issue is that when the ballrooms on the first floor are being used for weddings or ""quinceaneros"" (many of these in Miami), you will hear the bass guitar, singer and the band in your room until they stop playing. That could be 1:00 am + and they start around 8:00 pm. The noise comes into the room loud. Not even my heavy duty ear plugs could get rid of the loud bass sound. This went on both nights we stayed there.Another thing is the room rate. The total per day went up after additional ""hotel fees"", taxes and daily parking fee (cannot park on your own, have to use valet).Next time, I will stay somewhere else!

  • We arrived about 3 hours before check-in. They allowed us to check-in then with no extra fee. Every staff member there was very friendly. We had a room on the 15th floor it was very clean and big. We had a partial ocean view and bay view. I was very impressed. After reading some of the others reviews I was scared to see what the room was gonna be like. Soon as we opened the door I ran around the room checking everything out. I couldnt find anything bad about the room. It had one big walk-in closet by the bathroom and three other closets by the bed. The swimming pool was very nice. I spent about four day there at the pool in the afternoon. They came around and offered us fresh fruit and cold frozen towels. The pool bar was very expensive. I had one mixed drink and it cost $10.29 and for a bottle of beer it was $8. We rented the wave runners on the beach. It costed $80 for 2 people for 1/2 an hour. But it was definetly worth it. We had a smile on our face the whole time. The guys that rented them to us were so nice. They used our video camera and made a video for us and took photos with our camera too. We had an amazing time at this hotel and I would recommend it to everyone. One day we decided to walk down toward north beach to see what we could find. We walked for about 45 minutes and just seen other hotels and condo. Finally we made it to a few resturants and then went to a Publix grocery store and then took a bus back. The bus costs $1.50 per person. Taxi from Airport $34.

  • What else can I say but WOW! My husband, 2 yr old daughter, & I absolutely LOVED our stay at this hotel from 07/23-07/28. After having read so many terrible reviews of this hotel, I was scared to death of what I would find. We booked our trip through online travel website (which by the way is the best cause they included the ""spa"" fee of $10/day + tax ...yes you pay for it, but its better to pay it in advance than at the hotel). Upon arriving at the hotel, I kept looking out like a hawk for any of the problems I had read about at this site. First, the valet guys were great. I NEVER waited for my car for more than 5 min, and that was after asking for it outside and not in advance by phone. I tipped them only once a day (at return) and then gave the valet guys who dealt with our luggage a little more. Valet guys? No complaints. Just applause!The lobby is GORGEOUS! Check in was instant. I waited like 2 minutes to sign in for our keys and mini-bar key (if you dont want it you can decline it). The bellhop took our bags up with us in a second. When we told him our room # he said it was a gorgeous view. In my head I was thinking about the reviews Id read here, & I was expecting a view of a building or something. But OH MY! When we opened our door on the 9th floor (ask for Rm 904!), the view was amazing! Floor to ceiling windows had a gorgeous view of the ocean and the pool. The room was really big and the bathroom was great. We had rented a refrigerator for $15/day.

  • You get the bang for your buck at this hotel. The front desk was very helpful. The facilities are very nice, including the pool. The staff at the pool is helpful, and they come around with snacks in the morning and afternoon, as well as cold washcloths to cool yourself off with. The room is a bit small, as is the bathroom, but it is clean and comfortable. The only negative aspect to this hotel is that the housekeeping could be better, they dont clean up the room as well as they should. It is in a nice location in Miami Beach, close enough to South Beach and 2 blocks from the boardwalk, so the beach is nice and not too crowded! All in all, it was a good stay and I would recommend this hotel to other people.

  • Valet parking only at $25/night in January seemed excessive, plus everyone wants a tip, adding to the cost. The hotel lobby seems very nice, but other facilities, rooms and upstairs hallways need renovating. Room was clean but windows dirty, walls are thin, and lightbulbs out, lampshades askew everywhere.No hot tub or heated pool, despite the staff claiming the pool was heated (it definitely was not).Got burned on trying to check out early with a $100 penalty-ouch! Not very nice after a three night stay and wanting to move on for the 4th night.Not great ammenities, got the run-around on rooms and prices, but this is a low cost way to get into Miami Beach. If you want to spend the money or get a better experience, many other hotels there seemed much much nicer.

Our bathtub did not drain, the pocket door between the vanity and shower was broken and did not close completely. Our door knocker was broken and hanging off the door.Lobby area and pool area were both nice. The charges for the business center were extreme! Overall, I would probably not stay there again.

After hearing bad reviews we were scared there were going to be a ton of chrages that were going to be unexpected. The only charge that was unexpected was the extra four dollars for ordering room service and they also included a gratutity. Besides that, the rooms were very clean and the view was amazing. There is a beatiful and secluded beach that never really got crowded. The hotel lobby was beatiful. The hotel staff was very friendly unlike the bad reviews we had read about. The hotel had stores which were mostly for an older crowd not for people in thier twenties. Transportation from the hotel to places was great because you could either grab a taxi or a bus from right in front of the hotel. The hotel is mostly for families or friends to get away. Overall, it was a very great stay there. We would definetly stay there again.
