  • I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is going to Disney for a family or personal vacation. The hotel has 18 floors, and we were on the 14th floor. Every room has a balcony with 2 chairs and a table which was nice. We had great maid service and encountered friendly people- a little pushy when it comes to the sales side of tickets but who isnt around Disney? The rooms were older but clean. The location is great. You are walking distance from Downtown Disney (about a 10-15 minute walk to the entrance) and shuttles run consistently to take you to the Disney Parks. The staff at the bar/restaurant were nice, but the food wasnt that great. There are many regular bar/grills within walking distance though. The other way from Downtown Disney is the Cross Roads center, a 5-10 minute walk, that has Pirates Cove Adventure Golf, Buffalo Wild Wings, TGI Fridays, gift stores and fast food. We really didnt need a car because you can walk everywhere you would want to get to. It is not a 5 star hotel, but the staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, and the location was great. For the money, I would recommend staying here.

  • I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is going to Disney for a family or personal vacation. The hotel has 18 floors, and we were on the 14th floor.   • We werent lucky to get a renovated room butd our rooms were clean, and we loved the balcony. A younger man checked us in, very friendly! A older man helped with our bags, God Bless him, there were a lot! That was all great experiences for us.

  • My boyfriend and I took our first vacation together to Orlando and stayed at the Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort and had an amazing time. We found all the staff to be amazing, especially one of the female bartenders. The location is right beside Downtown Disney, so it was really close to activities at night and not a far distance to parks. The hotel was clean, had beautiful rooms and we cannot complain about anything. Our first vacation was a great time and we are very happy we picked this place to stay at!

There was plenty of time to get to the theme parks at or before opening and buses for pick up well after park closings. Pool was great for kids; fast elevators; nice small balcony to sit outside on; friendly desk clerks; fantastic bellboy service. The rooms look a little worn and dated, but were clean. If you are looking for a place on Disney property w/o the Disney hotel prices, this is a great place to stay. Travelocity gave us a great air/hotel package price. Although you will need to provide your own transportation to/fro the airport. Its also a short bus ride to Downtown Disney which has a lot of great shops and restaurants.

  • Well, I am back and I was a bit leery after reading the bad reviews. This hotel was great, it was very clean. All of the rooms are newly renovated and Bath and Body Works Toiletries are provided daily. The rooms have a balcony with two chairs and a small table to enjoy the view of Downtown Disney. We had a rental car but they do provide buses to the parks. The lobby is spacious, staff friendly, very clean hotel. Mattresses are nice and comfy, upscale mattresses. The only downside for us was that the TV only had 26 channels. But other than that a very pleasant stay, great hotel for families traveling to Disney. Great location, inside the gates of Disney. BUT I would NOT walk to Downtown Disney, it is certainly doable but it is about three quarters of a mile and in the heat probably not a good idea.....

  • Cleanliness is the most important aspect for me in staying in a hotel. It does not have to be luxurious as long as it is clean. We had three rooms reserved for our party. Upon check-in my brothers room had a someones shirt on his bed and trash in the wastebasket. Obviously, the room was not cleaned and prepared thoroughly when the previous hotel guest in that room left. As for our room., it looked clean but I was sure that it was not. How? I am allergic to dust, and I started sneezing and itching. So the next morning I asked the housekeepers to clean the room well. So when we returned during the evning, guess what, no more sneezing. As for the third room, my daughters---there were bed bugs. Their legs had numerous huge red ugly bites. They asked for a change of rooms. Fortunately, when a new room was given to them, my daughters had no further bites. Obviously, if you were to ask me, if I would stay here again, I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT.

  • My husband and I were a little concerned about booking after reading other reviews, but had a thoroughly enjoyable experience at this hotel. We spent the additional money to have a Disney View room for the fireworks and it was well worth it. Our room was exceptionally clean every day. Front desk staff were efficient and friendly. Bell service was incredible! Pool area was very nice but the water was a little too cold for being heated. We had hot water for our showers both in the morning and at night. Took the Disney shuttle one day to a park. Because the bus stops at 2 parks, it took almost an hour to get back from Magic Kingdom , even though it is a 10 minute drive by car. We waited 15 minutes at the park for the bus. We decided to take the rental car the remaining days just to save some precious vacation time. Very handy having a Disney store and a small grocery store right in the hotel.

  • Room shoddy. Missing TV cabinet doors and refrig. Blanket scuzzy. Bird cage in cafe bug infested! Service very bad! Forgot porta crib. Room Service phone always busy. Breakfast buffet expensive; no option. Requested late check out. Traveling with Senior in wheelchair and toddler. Manager confirmed maids working until 5:00 but would charge $50 past 1:00. It cost them nothing for us to stay and we would had had lunch at the hotel. Manager sent the maid to stand outside our door at 1:00. I have never encountered anyone so discourteous in my 35 years of business travel.

  • First Bus to pick you to go Disney world. Note that 1 bus goes at 2-different parks only, the second bus goes to the other 2 parks. Then it goes to the other 2 hotels, then straight to the parks, every half hour. Friendly hotel staff. We had 4 in a family, they gave only 3 towels each. I had to write a note, then it was good for 1 day. They still gave 3 towels only, even i place tips on the bed. I gave up & let it go. The toilet was leaking sound, i wrote a note. was fixed next day.

  • When I first got there, I noticed that the bathroom had not been cleaned. There was also a bug in one of the towels that had been folded. The carpet had looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. There was a red stain in between the beds. The first morning we woke up to take a shower and there wasnt any hot water running. I called the front desk to take care of the situation while I stepped downstairs to eat breakfast. I came back up to the room to take a shower in luke-warm water. Not what I wanted, but it was better than taking a shower in cold water. The next morning, the same situation happened. The maintenance man told me that it was because there were alot of guests that were taking showers and thats why they dont have hot water. That was the most ridiculous excuse I have ever heard. I dont care how many people take showers at the same time, this should not be an issue at a resort. I will not be coming back to this hotel.

  • When I first got there, I noticed that the bathroom had not been cleaned. There was also a bug in one of the towels that had been folded.   • They """"upgraded"""" us upon arrival to a """"micro fridge"""" room but room still had trash from previous guests, smelled bad, balcony doors didnt close all the way, expensive pay-per-view movies didnt work, elevators smelled and one had exposed wiring, etc. On our last day, we were at Epcot and realized we forgot to call our shuttle service for next day pickup. When I called """"guest services"""", they sounded very inconvenieced to call the service for us and basically told us to wait until we came back and someone would call. They were kind enough to give us the phone number so we could call ourselves!

Bathroom very clean with new, soft, big towels not those old white small ones that fit around one leg. When I called the desk for anything from something needed to directions to general questions they were quick, polite & very helpful. The pool is huge & clean. The restaurant has a great breakfast & also good dinner meals. Transportation to all Disney attractions was every 1/2 hour, on time, courteous drivers, bus space was not too far to walk to attractions. Transportation to the malls is limited. You are close by to McDonalds, Olive Garden, Quiznos subs & a grocery store, within walking distance. It was a great hotel & I would definitely stay there again.

  • Nothing fancy but clean and adequate for what you pay. We didnt spring for the lake view but after having an issue with the hot water in our room, we were upgraded at no charge. Moving us to the back side of the hotel is what saved this review for them. On the seventh floor of the front side of the hotel, we could hear every shuttle bus arrival as though it was 15 feet from the window. Great view, dead silence at night and except for the fact that the A/C wouldnt turn off (brrr), a comfortable room. One big consideration. The BW is the first stop on the three hotel route of the park shuttle. This is important because the bus was sometimes full after we stopped at the second hotel on the stop, leaving the folks at the third hotel stranded until the next bus, 30 minutes later. We on the other hand, always had our choice of seats, and were always the first to be dropped off after a long day at the parks. Beware the breakfast buffet at the Hotel Restaurant. It was fine as far as quality goes but the $10.99 price makes for a pricey breakfast. They add a 15% gratuity automatically as well....for a self serve buffet where the waitress only brings your drink out.. We still enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel for Disney visitors. The first bus leaves an hour before park opening and we were always there 20 minutes before the ropes officially dropped. Perfect.

  • Nothing fancy but clean and adequate for what you pay. We didnt spring for the lake view but after having an issue with the hot water in our room, we were upgraded at no charge. Moving us to the back side of the hotel is what saved this review for them. On the seventh floor of the front side of the hotel, we could hear every shuttle bus arrival as though it was 15 feet from the window. The interent connection was excellent, though I had to call the internet service help line a few times to get reconnected. Id definately come back.

Seriously??!!! And she was a supervisor! Their tvs are at least 10 years old and tiny, and they most definitely have bed bugs. My body was covered in bed bug bites when i woke up. The manager of the hotel is an absolute xx, even more worthless than the supervisor, and upon checkout, we had a $30 charge on our bill from their restaurant (which we never even stepped foot in). They then told us that we had to dispute it over the phone with their corporate office. It was, without a doubt, the worst hotel i have ever been to. What a waste. I will never stay here again. I will save myself the troubles and stay at the Royal Plaza hotel across the street. They have an excellent staff, no bed bugs, and no headaches. My parents stayed there and loved it. Dont stay at the Best Western!!! Trust me!

  • Within spitting distance of Downtown Disney, BW: LBV is an excellent choice if you dont want to stay at pricier Disney hotels like the Polynesian or Contemporary. The breakfast buffet is amazing good, the pool is large and clean (and offers a kiddie pool), and regular bus transportation to the major Disney parks is offered from the hotel. One of the small bedside lights in our room was burned out, but considering we only spent sleep-time there, it didnt really matter. Clean, comfortable, and affordable. Well definitly stay again should we come back to visit the Mouse and friends.

The hotel is a little dated but they are updating all of the furniture. The staff was very friendly and helped whenever we asked. The conceirge service was nice and helpful but they really pushed selling tickets. We would stay at this hotel again if we go back. The hotel is non-smoking but there is a nice balcony in each room if you have a smoker in your family. It was nice to sit and watch the sunrise or sunset from the balcony. The pool is very plain so the kids were not thrilled with it, but it served the purpose of swimming. No slides or kids stuff at the pool. Each room has a microwave and small refrigerator, which came in handy. We went to the grocery for cokes - the machines in the hotel are expensive - $2.00 a bottle. So your best bet is to by a 12 pack and put it in the refrigerator and save some money. I would say this is a very good hotel for the money!

So we called the front desk he told us to keep messing with it, it was hanging from the ceiling. He did not offer us another room or nothing. Then later that night we noticed the tv was doing a buzzing noise. So the tv wasnt working. the price I paid for this hotel was not worth it. I wasnt offered another room nor a discount and Im very unsatisified with my stay. also. they have a car rental place there that i rented my car from and you can only drop the car off there you cant get a rid to the airport what sense does that make?

  • We arrived at about midnight on 6-11 to check out on 6-18. Everyone was friendly from the time we checked in to the time that we left. Hotel was very close and convenient to restaurants, shopping, WDW parks and Universal. We had a great view of the fireworks from epcot every evening from our balcony on the 8th floor. Room was clean and beds were comfortable for me and kids, my hubby will say otherwise, since he doesnt like a firm mattress. Shuttle service to WDW parks was very convenient, they run every 30 minutes. We did have a rental car but we used that mostly for eating breakfast and dinner at the nearby restaurants and for going to Universal studios. Hotel breakfast buffet was not worth what we paid for the first morning we were there, so we ended up at the nearby Dennys or IHOP for breakfast for the remainder of our trip. Pool was excellent, and hotel bar was nearby with great pina coladas and strawberry daiquiris. Ask for the souvenir coconut heads, they are great. Would definitely stay there again.

  • We stayed at the best western lake buena vista. We upgraded to the disney view and were on the 16th floor. Fireworks over Magic Kingdom then Fireworks over Epcot. You could not beat the view. Although the room was average, it was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant downstairs was very good. And the transpotation to all the parks is free. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, but get the disney view!

  • My boyfriend, his 2 daughters and I stayed at the Best Western LBV and it was just fine. Check in was fast, the hotel and the room we stayed in were clean and the rooms were not cramped. The breakfast buffet was pretty good, with a variety of choices. We were in walking distance of Disney Marketplace which was nice. The hotel shuttles were always on time to take us to the parks which were just minutes away. Our only complaint was the $* a day resort fee!! This adds up after youre there for a few days or a week and I really dont know what its for???? Other than that, our stay was fine.
