  • The service at this hotel is amazing. We paid for our first night and had a ""family"" room. The 2nd night was a ""points night"" and we had to move rooms. The staff not only moved our luggage but remembered who we were and and welcomed us by name and handed us our new room keys. This is behavior I expect from a 5 star not 3 star. Bravo to the staff. The ""family"" rooms are a bit larger than the standard double,however both are very comfortable. The hotel also has built in night lights in the bathroom...something every hotel should adopt. Breakfast is juice, cereal, toast, fresh fruit, yogurt, meats, cheese, coffee & tea. Good and basic. Hotel also sells beer, wine and some food. Hotel is located in the lower end of the Royal Mile. It is convenient to Hollyrood House and other sites. If you are looking for a convenient hotel at a budget price with above average service then stay here. You wont go wrong.
