  • I was a little afraid after reading the reviews. The hotel is currently being renovated, but it was very nice. The room was very nice and clean. The only thing I don't like about the hotel is that you enter your room from the exterior, like a motel. Service was great. The main restaurant menu should be extended for lunch & dinner but the breakfast buffet was great.

  • I was a little afraid after reading the reviews. The hotel is currently being renovated, but it was very nice. The room was very nice and clean. The only thing I don't like about the hotel is that you enter your room from the exterior, like a motel. Service was great. The main restaurant menu should be extended for lunch & dinner but the breakfast buffet was great.

The manager was not polite and very arogant...as a matter of fact. Valets were great, as was maid service. I did not find the menu in the restaurant very appealing and the prices were high. The hostess in the restaurant not polite, as was the wait staff. The time of day did not matter.Room service was good however.

The rooms here are bigger thank most, and the fitness facility had great new equipment. I understand the guestrooms are being refurbished, and will be gtreat when they are done.

  • Excellent location at North end of Coronado away from the hubbub and tourist activity near Orange Ave. and the Hotel Del. Great view of Bay. Easy walk along Bay to Centennial Park and good mix of dining establishments near the park. An Albertsons grocery is 2 blocks away.Hotel has good restaurant with a view of the Bay and Bridge, and passing watercraft, both small personal craft and big gray boats. Take the water taxi to get downtown.Rooms are large, ditto for bathrooms and patio. We did a tapas type thing at the hotel restaurant, ordering all the appetizers and dessert and it worked out well. The hotel is also a good bet for disabled travellers as scooters actually fit in the rooms without getting in the way. Wireless available for a fee.I have stayed here many times and liked my stays. Current renovations include total relandscaping. Although a lot was going on outside our patio, they were pretty quiet.

Our only drawback is parking , very expensive! I was hoping that its free for the residents. Overall we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend to everyone.

  • The hotel was beautiful, check in was pleasant. We checked in the day before our wedding so of course we were all a flutter with activity and excitement. Apparently weddings and honeymoons are nothing special here. They were less than enthusiastic to say the least. That was a little disappointing.Cost of parking was a bit hefty, considering the amount we paid for the room.

  • Great Hotel! Friendly Staff! Super Room Service. Overall A+. They were doing some landscaping while we were there, but it didnt bother us! It was a great vacation and the hotel made it!

  • After reading some of the reviews, we werent sure what to expect, but were impressed by the comfortable, well-lit room and excellent service. Our room must have been recently renovated, as the furnishings were very up to date and we had a nice flat screen TV. The shower was excellent, with good water pressure and temperature adjustment.We spent some time by the pool, which was very nice, although the bar wasnt open. Try to spend an evening around the fire pits, which are very cozy. We rented bicycles from the Spa, which were less expensive than at the nearby rental places. But get up early on a Sunday if you want your best choices.Service was excellent. We needed a hair dryer, and it was there within 20 minutes. The bellman was knowlegable and friendly, providing us information about the local ferry options (including recomending the nearby city ferry as opposed to the more expensive Marriott water taxi).The location is great for watching the sailboats come up and down the bay. Its a great location in you want to go across to the city and the gaslamp district, but its a good 15 minute bike ride from the beach on the west side of the island. There is an Albertsons and a few nice restaurants nearby. We liked Peohes at the ferry landing.Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience. Although the Del gets all the attention, we found it to be swamped by tourists (like us), and the service was marginal as a result. The Del had the feel of a corporate theme park, not a five star world class hotel. I definitely would stay here again, and plan to.

  • We totally enjoyed our vacation at Marriott Resort. I would have liked to stay longer. It was truly like a tropical resort - beautiful! The pool was enjoyable and the food was very good. We enjoyed sitting outside and eating. Marriotts never disappoint me.

  • We totally enjoyed our vacation at Marriott Resort. I would have liked to stay longer. It was truly like a tropical resort - beautiful! The pool was enjoyable and the food was very good. We enjoyed sitting outside and eating. Marriotts never disappoint me.

  • The hotel is located in a beautiful spot and has beautiful grounds. I found the hotel clean enough but the furniture rather worn, the room had no fridge and access to wi-fi was an extra charge. Also there was a pervading smell of disinfectant . The gym does not look clean and the machines also have a worn out look. The staff was friendly and room service was prompt. My family and I were disappointed with the overall quality of the hotel, in the past we have stayed at other Marriot hotel that have been much better appointed.
