  • We first went to Squaw Oeak in July for a fun get away with the kids.We live in Tucson.Had a great stay and the kids had a ball so we decided to come back in Oct for the kids Birthdays.Once again we were pleased with everything about the resort.The staff are great and helpful. The suites are large enough to give mom and dad space to enjoy while the kids play in the other half of the suite. We also enjoy staying out in the balcony.We usually dine in the hotel with room service when we are there because the kids do not want to leave the room at night.The room service is affordable and the food is great.We had the pizza this time and the kids had grilled cheese.Large portions for the money.Great get away and I would recommend it to ANY family.

  • We first went to Squaw Oeak in July for a fun get away with the kids.We live in Tucson.Had a great stay and the kids had a ball so we decided to come back in Oct for the kids Birthdays.Once again we were pleased with everything about the resort.The staff are great and helpful. The suites are large enough to give mom and dad space to enjoy while the kids play in the other half of the suite.   • This was a friends weekend getaway for a concert. We were pleasantly surprised. We wanted to check out this hotel for a stay with the kids and we were very happy with our choice. We go to Phoenix every summer as a last getaway before school starts and this place is perfect. The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and welcoming. We called Housekeeping to get a fridge for our room and they were there before the promised time and were friendly and helpful. The staff in the two restaurants we enjoyed were top notch as well and good food too. We will definitely return this summer for the last family outing before school starts. Im sure our expectations will be met 10 fold.

  • This was a friends weekend getaway for a concert. We were pleasantly surprised. We wanted to check out this hotel for a stay with the kids and we were very happy with our choice. We go to Phoenix every summer as a last getaway before school starts and this place is perfect. The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and welcoming. We called Housekeeping to get a fridge for our room and they were there before the promised time and were friendly and helpful.   • We enjoyed the staying here , the pools are great, the grounds were landscaped well everything looked very nice.The room had a seperate seating area with seperate tv.The river country pool had a bufet that had grilled on the spot burgers, chicken,tamalies.The grill gave the feal of a cookout pool party.We liked the lazzyriver and water slide.This hotel would be great for kids.

  • The Hilton at Squaw Peak was a great hotel for our family of 6. Our children completely enjoyted the water park and the pool. All were clean, not overly crowded and large enough to accomodate all the guests. The room was clean, a good size and the staff was always friendly and helpful. We never participated in the activities offered but were impressed with the varielty of things available. Take note that most activities cost extra though. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay and will return.

  • The Hilton at Squaw Peak was a great hotel for our family of 6. Our children completely enjoyted the water park and the pool. All were clean, not overly crowded and large enough to accomodate all the guests. The room was clean, a good size and the staff was always friendly and helpful. We never participated in the activities offered but were impressed with the varielty of things available. Take note that most activities cost extra though. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay and will return.

  • At check-in, the room was not ready right away, so they upgraded us to a suite, which was ready and very nice. It had a view over the pool closest to the lobby, so it was convienent. For the most part, that pool was mostly frequented by adults, which was nice. On the other end of the property, there were a couple more pools, a lazy river and slide, along with several places to eat. The lazy river was nice and it was easy to find available chairs around the lazy river and pools. We didnt eat at any of the restaurants on the property - they were a bit pricey - $3.00 for a coke seemed like I was in Europe again... a little unnecessary I thought anyway. Near the property there is a sports bar called Gallaghers that has a whole menu of good food - not just bar food, so that was nice. The room itself was nice, it had a separate sitting room with tv and couch, desk, chairs and then the bedroom also had a tv. The bed had a down comforter and down pillows - everything was very clean looking in the room. The furnishings looked new as well as did the carpet. We were pretty happy with this property and would go back. The only thing we didnt like was the price of the food at the restaurants on the property. The room service was also pricey, but to be expected. Rent a car if you dont want to stay at the property the entire time - since theres not much by within walking distance.

  • We wanted to go someplace warm. The Pointe Hilton /Squaw Peak Resort was absolutely fantastic. The people were friendly and went out of their way to assist us with anything we needed. The resort was fun and clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable. We enjoyed all the restaurants and the spa. The weather was great. I would go back here anytime and highly recommend it especially for families. theres so much to do for kids. We loved it thanks for a great memory

  • We wanted to go someplace warm. The Pointe Hilton /Squaw Peak Resort was absolutely fantastic. The people were friendly and went out of their way to assist us with anything we needed. The resort was fun and clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable. We enjoyed all the restaurants and the spa. The weather was great. I would go back here anytime and highly recommend it especially for families. theres so much to do for kids. We loved it thanks for a great memory

  • This is the third time weve stayed at the point. Our room was on the ground floor this time which was nice because we have an infant and stroller in addition to our three year old. We got into Phoenix early and called to see if we could check in early. The answer was no, but we only talked to an operator. I think we could have checked in early if we had talked to someone else. The pool outside our room was open until 9 and there were only a couple of other kids swimming so our daughter had plenty of room to splash around and not worry about bigger kids getting in the way. The waterslide at the water park was broken that weekend and it would have been nice if there were more umbrellas poolside.I think its a good deal for the money compared to similar hotels in the area, but only if youre staying more that one night. Checkout is at noon so if out want to sleep until 9 or 10 you have a very limited amount of time to use the waterpark. The beds were super comfy and the sheets were really nice. As with all hotels the towels were scratchy, but did the job.The staff is nice enough and always helpful when we need directions around town.Well go back again because its great to have someplace to let our daughted burn off steam before we head out around town.

  • During Spring Break, a friend and I stayed at this hotel. We had reserved a room for three nights, and the first night they put us in a king suite, instead of the two doubles we requested. They promised to switch us into the right room the next day, and that they would have a room ready between noon and 4. The first room we stayed in had a huge leak that turned the bedroom carpet into a small pool. Maintenance came to check it and was unable to find the source, and we had to stay the night in that room because they had over booked the hotel. The second day, having been promised a new room, they spent three hours claiming there were no other rooms available, until I contacted our travel provider, and suddenly the room we had reserved was ready for us. The entire hotel, including restaurants, was horribly understaffed, the people at the front desk were rude and slow. The second room we were placed in had a shower that did not drain properly, and after two nights in that room, it still was not fixed. The manager tried to contact us once to talk about the issues we had, calling in the middle of the day when we told them we would be out, but never returned our second call. We spent the rest of our trip at a La Quinta, and could not have had a better experience there. We paid a lot of money to stay at a hotel and found their staff and rooms to be far inferior to the cheap hotel we stayed in later. The pools were beautiful and fun, but the rest of the hotel was horrible.

  • If you are looking for a family destination that is great for kids and adults this is it. The private water park at the resort is perfect for all kinds of activities, esp. for little kids. The snack food (hot dogs , nachos, burgers) was a little pricey but the other restaurant(s) was excellent with good food and great service.

  • If you are looking for a family destination that is great for kids and adults this is it. The private water park at the resort is perfect for all kinds of activities, esp. for little kids. The snack food (hot dogs , nachos, burgers) was a little pricey but the other restaurant(s) was excellent with good food and great service.

  • Our trip was overall a good experience. The location of the hotel was not as close to my destinations as I thought it was. Not having wi-fi in the rooms and having to pay 11.95 per day to access the internet in the comfort of your suite was a bit high to me. But the service and the lazy river pool, etc. were great fun. We were in need of transportation and unfortunately the service we were provided, the driver was not at all familiar with where we needed to go.

  • Our trip was overall a good experience. The location of the hotel was not as close to my destinations as I thought it was. Not having wi-fi in the rooms and having to pay 11.95 per day to access the internet in the comfort of your suite was a bit high to me. But the service and the lazy river pool, etc. were great fun. We were in need of transportation and unfortunately the service we were provided, the driver was not at all familiar with where we needed to go.

  • A much needed 3 day getaway flop. We chose a mid priced suite and where given the worst room in the resort. Right next to an enterence road to private residences with noisy cars all night and a 4:30 am garbage truck just outside our room. The AC made enough noise to wake the dead. The swim up bar/resturant was closed. The front desk forgot our $50. food vouchers that were included in our reservation then demanded printed proof before making us return to the lobby to issue them. A cold could care less attitude combined with a mystery smell in the corner made this one of the worst hotel experiences weve had.

  • the hotel was nice and we had a great time! the only complaint i had was that they do not offer a free shuttle to their hotel.....of course you can pay a bus ($15.00 pp)....or buy a personal town car ($35.00) or just take the city bus(1.25pp) but it takes 2 hrs for a ten mile drive.....but for the price of the rooms they should offer some kind of air port shuttle to their hotel. the other thing the rooms need are a refrigerator and microwave.....now our room had a fridge, but it was not working and could not use it! I also felt the food at their restaurants were a bit pricey(15.00 hamburger or sandwich) but then again it is a Hilton and they want their money. over all it was a lot of fun and if you have kids its a great place to go!!!

  • Beautiful resort. several pools to choose from including toddler pool, adults pool, pool with waterfall only 3-1/2 ft deep for older kids. Waterslide. miniature golf and western city play area. Lots for kids to do. Ice cream shop and beautiful courtyard with pool. LOTS of accomodation styles to choose from. One bedroom was spacious enough for all 5 of us with living area. The most comfortable bed Ive EVER slept in. Rooms Very clean but outdoor area of restaurant could use a once over more often.Dining options a bit expensive but food pretty good. Will definetely return!!

  • The rooms were large, clean and soundproof! The grounds were well-kept and the pools clean. The only disappointment was the service, from check-in to the restaurants to housekeeping - everyone needs a refresher course in customer service. No one knew where anything was, not many willing to find out and housekeeping hogged all the elevators despite guests standing there with luggage.

  • Concierge was extremely helpful. Resort best for families with younger kids, but still nice and peaceful/quiet. Internet (wired) access was not working in our room. If it was available it was $12 to $14 per day. Too much to spend 10 minutes to check work or home e-mail. Although we asked numerous times if there were other access options, it wasnt until halfway into our week stay that we were told there was free wireless (and only wireless) in the hotel lobby only. And it was real slow. No other pc or terminal was available for access. Virtually all motels have free wired and/or wireless Internet. At $250 a night, it should be included!

  • With a name like Hilton, you expect a certain level of service and amenities.   • We stayed at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak for Spring Break 2007. We have a 2 yr old and a 7 yr old and there was plenty for both of them to do. The River Ranch is awesome. Our oldest loved the water slide and our youngest loved the kiddie pool. The lazy river was a little too lazy (i.e. slow). The resort was super clean and the staff so helpful. The conceierge was always available to help us plan activities. They would also arrange a car to take us any place we wanted to go. We will definitely return for Spring Break 2008.

  • Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak resort is well worth a family visit, the Water Park alone is enough to keep the family excited for a weekend. Local attractions and entertainment are numerous and easy access to main arteries make it a breeze to get out of the heat for a while.
