  • Our stay at the Ramada was very nice. All of the areas in the hotel including the guest rooms were extremely clean. The staff were very polite and took care of any requests right away. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to the area.

  • Our stay at the Ramada was very nice. All of the areas in the hotel including the guest rooms were extremely clean. The staff were very polite and took care of any requests right away. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to the area.

  • We stayed at the Ramada Inn for Navy graduation. The rooms were clean, nice and the beds very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was good. The only part of the experience that was less than great, was that the room for the free continental breakfast is too small to accomodate all the guests. Only one small imperfection in an excellent stay. We definately recommend this hotel to other Navy families.

  • We stayed at the Ramada Inn for Navy graduation. The rooms were clean, nice and the beds very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was good. There is no elevator to second floor, so if you have a hard time with stairs, ask for first level. The pool and spa looked very inviting, but we ran out of time - maybe next time.

There is no elevator to second floor, so if you have a hard time with stairs, ask for first level. The pool and spa looked very inviting, but we ran out of time - maybe next time.

  • The hotel staff was very friendly. The hotel rooms were simple and basic. The hotel has been revamped from an older version. Not enough outlets for laptop and cell phone charger. The bed linens are great. Walls are super thin. However, the HVAC unit had mold in it and there was a musty smell throughout the entire facility. At one point, it smelled as if a sewer had backed up somewhere.The food was really good but way too expensive. Nothing less than $14 on the menu and sodas are $3.00/ea. The on site vending machines were over priced as well. A small bottle (6 oz) of water was $1.50. If you go during the winter be prepared. They have a snow plow for the parking lot. However, shoveling snow off the sidewalks is not provided so you drag or carry your luggage through slippery slush to your car hoping not to slip and fall. Green Bay is plowed, but not salted and is dangerous. Very close to the base. They give you a 10% coupon for the dining area and two free beer or wine drinks with snacks in the bar the night before graduation. In reality, its probably your best bang for the buck if you want to stay close to the base. The entire area is limited and a bit older. 40 minutes form the airport and there is a toll road, $1.00 to and .80 cents back.

  • If we would have had any spare time we would have sought out another hotel to stay at. From the moment we walked through the door there was a very strong odor of must/smoke/cleaning supplies. The keyed entrance we used to enter was always propped open apparantly by staff (which could have been unsafe, not knowing the neighborhood). The bathrooms were dingy appearing. Extremely noisy, when flushing the stool it sounded as if a plane was taking off, when trying to sleep there was a low pitched vibrating sound which after a while started to make me sick to my stomach. We visited the pool 1 evening and that was enough, the water looked more yellow tinted than clear. We were unable to utilize the continental breakfast except for 1 morning due to lack of seating and extremely long lines. The heating / cooling unit when turned on had a musty smell to it and I suffer from allergies in which they seemed to worsen when in the room. We have stayed at Ramadas in the past without such an experience, but I will no longer book a room with a Ramada hotel. I feel the 4 and 1/2 smiles were misleading.

  • I enjoyed my stay at the Ramada. The staff was very helpful and nice. They helped us find the best transportation, and events in the area. I enjoyed the morning breakfast and the Saddle Ridge resturant (located inside) which was very elegant and classy. They also offered room service, and the food was amazing. The gift shop was well equiped with souvenirs and the inside pool was nice. I overall enjoyed my time and I recommend this to anyone who is visting the Waukegan area.

  • We had an overall good experience staying here. However, some feedback I want to give is that the hotel smelled musty or moldy. Probably because of the swimming pool being inside. The bathroom in the family suite was very small (considering the room had 3 big king beds and designed to accomodate more people,) but it was manageable. The beds were very comfortable and the comforters soft. The front desk people were helpful but we did not perceive them as particularly friendly. Being busy does not excuse friendly efforts, where were the welcoming smiles?. We were there for my nephews Naval Graduation and the location and price for the hotel was good. We also appreciated that they gave us maps to ge to the base. The breakfast line on the day of the graudation was a pretty big problem in that no one was there to help move the people along, Some people were stuck in line making their waffles and holding everyone else up. This was only the day of the graduation when there was a line outside even before they opened. It would have been nice or more appropriate for there to be a person helping people but no one offered to help in any way. I guess they too were busy refilling. Otherwise the other day was fine for breakfast. Thank you we would be willing to come back to your hotel.

  • This hotel was spotless! The staff was great, we went for a Navy graduation and with people constantly coming and going for these weekly graduations they were still very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotless and so was the bathroom. The beds comfortable for 2 exhausted travelers who missed their flight and had to wait standby. Transportation was provided to the graduation which was great because we had no clue where we were going. Would definitely stay here again no questions asked.
