  • Stayed five nights at The Cityview in early October. While the room was not huge it was clean and comfortable. The only defect in the room was the door covering the small refrigerator. Great location as it was an easy walk to Tsim Sha Tsui and the Star Ferry. Theres also an MTR station around the corner and the hotel is served by the Airport Express Shuttle (Route K-6). Would stay at the Cityview on my next visit.

  • Stayed five nights at The Cityview in early October. While the room was not huge it was clean and comfortable. The only defect in the room was the door covering the small refrigerator.   • YMCA is located in the heart of the city where you can go shopping within 10 minutes and u can eat all kind of food in the area. Great value for money for us since we were looking for a cheap hotel. This place is for you if youre looking for an affordable and convenient place to say. But its not for u if youre looking for a luxurious living because the rooms are small and not as clean as I expected. I never expected service from this hotel since its only a 3 star hotel. To my surprise, the staff were attentive and courteous. I will come back for sure!

  • Stay at YMCA intl. for 4 night in the superior room. Excellent location - 2 mins walk to Yau Ma Tei MTR station, 5 mins walk to Temple Street Mkt, 10 mins walk to Ladies Street & Sport Street.Good services - friendly and helpful staff. Room services is good. Decent room - since we spent most of the time outside the hotel, the hotel room was clean. It had a Safe to keep valuable things. The only negative point - the bathroom was a little too small and cramp. Overall - excellent choice for budget travellers. I will definitely return to this hotel in the future.

  • If only setting the budget as the target, it is worth. The price was valuable and the service provided, especially the front desk, was very nice & co-operative. They were so kind to arrange an early check-in for me.However, since it is located in the busy city, it is quite noisy. Car noise is from the street just around. On the other hand, it was convenient to shop & eat around.

  • As a solo female traveler this hotel was perfect. I felt safe and the MRT was just across the road into the city. There are plenty of shops close-by and a walk to the markets. The staff were great and gave me an upgraded room and were helpful, courteous and friendly. I recommend this place to all.

  • We stayed with our 1 year old and found the place very nice especially the room-size at least by HK standards. The tower block is new and equipped with smart basics, but the staff is friendly and prompt to most needs. The only low side is its distrance from the TST action.

  • This is my second stay at YMCA International House, my previous being on a business trip in Sep/Oct 07 period. I recommended this hotel to my wife for family vacation and she was very impressed with the hotel location and service. Upon arriving at Kowloon station from the airport express train, there is a free shuttle bus there to the hotel (K6 service). Its so convenient especially when you have 2 young children on the trip.Location is excellent. Hotel conceige is polite and even recommended us to a dim sum restaurant within a stones throw from the hotel. The food is excellent too!To our delight, opposite the hotel is a nice Christian shop where we made some purchases on Chinese literature and CDs. Shopping starts right at our hotel door step!I am once again, impressed with the hotel with its value-for-money hotel service.

  • This is my second stay at YMCA International House, my previous being on a business trip in Sep/Oct 07 period.   • Location is excellent as hotel is very near MTR, thus easy to get around Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. Taxi drivers so far, have no problems locating the hotel.Breakfast choice is limited within the hotel as there is 1 restaurant and a small cafe. Found a great cafe nearby hotel which provides very good breakfast at very affordable prices.Getting Internet access is troublesome as you need to go to the service counter to loan an ethernet cable for login. Internet access is only available for 4-hour or 24-hour access plans.Overall experience is pleasant and value-for-money. Would recommend to leisure and business travellers.

  • I stayed here for one night in April08 and again in May/08, both times the staff were very accomodating, friendly and found the valet service extremely helpful with arrangements to the airport via shuttle bus (110 HKD per person). Both times I booked two rooms. The rooms were clean, bathrooms spacious, location is great for shopping, dining, etc. I had dined out both times, food in the area is great. Had intended on staying longer in May (3 days), and I am rebooking again for my Father later this month for 2-3 days as the location is good for a senior who wants to wander around close to the hotel and provides good public transportation. I would have like to try out the restaurants on site if I had more time. Internet access is available, paid 100 HKD for 8 hours, if you forget your adaptor plug, you can get one from the hotel. Would suggest this hotel to anyone who is on a budget, I found this to be good for the $$$, both times I booked on line, my room was upgraded (to the deluxe room) the first time free of charge, and the 2 superior rooms I booked on line with short notice (<24hrs) for May 9th, was great with the connecting rooms and would recommend for this for anyone traveling with kids, family, etc. My overnight in May, the room I slept in had a couple of carpet stains, but otherwise o.k. and the connecting room was good. I really appreciated the staff, who were all very knowledgeable, and no problem with information on dining, banking, public transport, shuttles, taxi, etc. I would stay here again.

It is definetly worth the value. The room and the toilet is spacious. The room facilities is ok.. Bed is comfy.. Wardrobe is big and clean.. Room is clean.. except some stains on the bathroom wall tiles but still ok.. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is located near the shopping streets.. Woman Street, temple street all are within walking distance.. The MTR is just around the corner (EXIT A).. Lotsa nice yummy foods nearby..

  • City View is well located, close to a MTR station and ladies night market, but that is the only good part. The rooms are tiny and the bathroom is worst, they are in need of remodeling, everything in the room is old and the air conditioning is noisy. I would not recommend this place to any one. I will give a 1 star rating.

  • City View is well located, close to a MTR station and ladies night market, but that is the only good part. The rooms are tiny and the bathroom is worst, they are in need of remodeling, everything in the room is old and the air conditioning is noisy. I would not recommend this place to any one.   • We chose this place because of location for an event we were attending. Did not spend a lot of time in the hotel, but the room was fine. Good beds - though they moved us into a room with separate beds instead of a single larger bed and called it an upgrade. All of the usual amenities were nice. Nothing lavish but a solid good. The staff tried to be helpful but while they all spoke some English there was some difficulty getting directions. But they all tried very hard.Overall, we thought it was a good bargain - much better than what our friends were paying for their rooms in the same area.

  • This was my 6th stay at this hotel. I have stayed at others, but this is absolutely the best location, service, room size, security, price and value.
