As a certified meeting planner, I travel a lot and have spent many nights in ""resorts"" both stateside and in the caribbean -- I have even worked in one. Casa Colonial is a wonderful surprise on a island overrun by all-inclusive impersonal mega hotels. This trip was to celebrate my 40th with my best friends -- two other experienced travelers.From the moment the enoromous gates are opened, you relax in the tranquil elegance of the understated courtyard. Casa Colonial is a magnificently maintained property where you are treated like royalty by the staff from the start. Check-in was smooth, room beautiful, food outstanding and personnel that is unrelentless in providing the best service ever. Chef Xs birthday dinner was decadent . Y at the beach tended to our every need. And the spa staff turned back time for me. Z not only removed stress, but about five years, too.If you are looking to relax, rejuvenate yourself, make your reservation immediately. P.S. Dont balk at the room rates, because you are worth it and you will be pampered right through check-out.
