  • When we arrived we were hit with extra costs -- immediately. I was told, ""You should have booked with us we are going to get your money anyway."" Second, this ""beautifully renovated"" building is not yet renovated and the website pictures are not all from this location at this time. Finally, this advertised ""Non-smoking"" facility reeks of cigarette smoke. To a person who is allergic to cigarette smoke this makes staying here very difficult. I believe this could one day be a nice place but until they put the time and energy into that needs to happen this is one place worth staying away from.

  • This hotel was adverage. Rooms were not anything special either was the continental breakfast. The pool was out back. It was clean and fenced in. The staff was nice and were very helpful with directions and anything else we needed. THE BAD:The hotel was a 15-20 minute drive at least to the nearest destinations.... downtown, beaches, and etc. Nothing in walking distance besides a Vons and a gas station. The parking was horrible. If you are renting a car beware of dents from doors. We parked on the street one night and 2 nights in handicap due to the small stalls and lack of parking. Was not happy about that. Its a decent place to come and go from but if you plan on spending alot of time at the hotel I wouldnt recommend it. It seems to be a place for buisness stays and short stays. Not for younger people who want to go out see the area...its too far away! Families would be fine there...you do get a home-like feeling there but i wouldnt want to stay at the hotel for long periods of time. Its okay.

  • This hotel was adverage. Rooms were not anything special either was the continental breakfast. The pool was out back. It was clean and fenced in. The staff was nice and were very helpful with directions and anything else we needed.   • The hotel has been redone, and is very nice. The free continental breakfast was set up nicely and easy to use. Weve stayed in this same hotel many years ago when it was under a different name, and we couldnt leave fast enough. This trip was completely different from that first experience, and we were thouroughly delighted.

  • The hotel has been redone, and is very nice. The free continental breakfast was set up nicely and easy to use. Weve stayed in this same hotel many years ago when it was under a different name, and we couldnt leave fast enough. This trip was completely different from that first experience, and we were thouroughly delighted.

  • This was a last minute booking--The exterior is very disappointing, but the room was very clean and they provided a mini-fridge and coffee. Also, they provided a welcome package which included a book and samples. We were only there one night, but it was comfortable. We would stay again.

  • This was a last minute booking--The exterior is very disappointing, but the room was very clean and they provided a mini-fridge and coffee. Also, they provided a welcome package which included a book and samples. We were only there one night, but it was comfortable. We would stay again.

  • We stayed over the xmas holiday, my 4 year old had lots of toys, he had lots of space to play in the hotel. Staff was EXCELLENT! They bent over backward to make sure that we didnt have to switch rooms, when I asked to stay over the New Years holiday- Which they were almost filled for. Breakfast of Waffels, pastries, fresh fruit, coffee, juice, hot and cold cereal.Room was Excellent, when i was beat from siteseeing, it was a welcome joy to be able to be in such a nice room and relax. Other guest commented on the GREAT accomidations and would recommend it to others...if you pass this up, you have missed the mark. AND I AM NOT JUST SAYING THIS BECAUSE I AM FROM IOWA :)

  • The motel was an exceptional value. Completely remodeled, very clean with a very courteous staff. Nice pool area but too cold to swim. Very good continental breakfast. Fairly easy to get too. Right off I-8. About 14 miles from attractions in San Diego. Will stay there again.

  • My family and I traveled extensively this summer staying in hotels in Las Vegas, New York, Canada, and San Diego. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of this Ramada. We were also so appreciative of the way we were treated. The hotel was undergoing some renovations and everyone -- from the front desk people to the construction workers -- were friendly and helpful. What a pleasant treat!They are changing to a Travel Lodge soon, so look for them under that name -- its worth the stay!

  • The hotel is in a good location - not too far from Sea World or downtown. There is also a grocery store right down the street. The parking spots were a little small, but what do you expect in southern California? Check in was check and painless. The room was a decent size and the beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, our room was right by the vending machine on our floor so we could hear people out there at all hours of the night. My only real complaint is that the front desk charged me extra because supposedly there were 4 people staying in my room when really there were only 3. Overall, the room was good for the price paid.

The sign that still says ""Ramada Inn"" causes some confusion when arriving at night.However, the location was perfect for my needs as it is close to the Masonic Lodge and the downtown area with all the Antique Stores.
