  • My family of 5 stayed here for two nights of a 6 night vacation. Our goal was to stay as close to Disneyland as possible. This hotel is a perfect location. The hotel does have the typical feelings of a quality hotel like other Marriott properties. My only problem with this hotel is the Pizza Hut that is located inside. While the staff is very good, the prices are high, even for a hotel restaurant. Take the time to walk 5 minutes and go to any number of other better restaurants located down the street. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and efficient. I would definitely stay here again. This hotel can charge a premium for its close proximity to Disneyland.

  • My family of 5 stayed here for two nights of a 6 night vacation. Our goal was to stay as close to Disneyland as possible. This hotel is a perfect location.   • My boyfriend and I wanted to go to Disneyland for two days, so we just picked a hotel that was close to Disney. This hotel is literally across the street from the main gate. We just parked and walked for a minute to get there, which is a nice change from having to pay $$ for parking (or however much it is now) and dealing with the tram system just to get back to the parking lot. The room was pretty spacious and well kept. The TV was a little old, but they made up for it by having alot of channel to choose from. The ONLY problem we had at all was that the toilet made a weird squeaking sound after being flushed and the only way to fix it was to flush it again. The hotel has a Pizza Hut, but its pretty much a Pizza Hut, cafe, and breakfast diner all merged into one. It also serves beer and wine, which was nice for me because after a long day its nice to wind down with a drink. There a also an arcade and a supermarket in the hotel. I didnt get a chance to go to the arcade, but the supermarket came in handy. They sell pretty much anything you may have forgotten to bring and then some. The pool was under matinence but they had some deal where you could use the pool at another hotel, but we didnt do that. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful too. The check-in was fast. And after we checked out we wanted to go back to Disneyland, so we asked if we could stay parked there and they just made a note on the parking permit and let us park all day.

  • Overall our stay was pleasant. The linens are clean, beds are comfortable. The only complaint we have is the noise the air conditioner makes. Very convenient to be able to get pizza, sandwiches & other snacks (chips,cereal, milk,etc.)) on site. Room only has a refrigerator, but pizza restaurant has a microwave oven guests can use. Hotel staff very helpful. We have stayed at this hotel many times, & would recommend it.

  • Stayed here because other hotels along harbor that we usually stay at were all booked. Hotel not too far to walk back to after a day at Disney but we passed four other hotels that were closer each night. The room was clean,quiet, big, and the bed was comfortable. The condition of the room, the bedding, towels, furniture were all excellent. Better than the other area hotels we have stayed at in the past. We were on the ground floor nowhere near the elevator and away from the pool which might have helped with the room being quiet. We could hear voices from another room one time but it didnt wake us up and we didnt hear any TV noise. The staff was awesome. They couldnt possibly have been more accomodating. The hotel and the area around the hotel were well lit. The parking spaces were actually big enough for you to park your car unlike some of the other hotels in the area. We would certainly be willing to stay here again although we would prefer one of the hotels closer to the park.

  • the first night at the hotel my new truck was keyed on both doors along with about ten other peoples vehicles. the hotel didnt seem to even blink an eye apart form the nice security gueard whos vehicle was also keyed. i felt the hotel could have given the effected guests a credit for a night at a marriott or something. the amount of money they make what would one night for ten people be...not much. also if you stay there watch your little kids around the blacony railings ....my 2 year olds head easily fit through it and he could have easily fallen. i dont know if thats a regulation thing or not but the bars are toooo far apart. scary for a parent of a two year old. on a positive note the hotel was in a great location and the rooms were pretty nice.

  • Well when we arrived the staff was very nice in checking us in and we thought everything was going to be great... So we thought... We got to our room and it looked like some one was still in the room. Bed not made trash everywhere. Lets just say the room was trashed. We called the front desk and they gave us a new room which when we got there was clean to the naked eye. We then opened the refrigerator and there was nasty old food still in there which grossed us out. The pool was ok, kind of small for how big the hotel is. It was completely packed with little kids. Just think of all the pee in that pool... But during the time disneyland was open you could relax and enjoy it.The only thing that we liked about the hotel is the location. Right across the street from the park, 5 min walk to the front gate. I will not be going back to this hotel. Hope your stay is better that ours was. We had two rooms and both were dirty. What else did they not clean.... think about it...

  • I booked this room because of the great location, high reviews, and convenience of having two rooms with the family connector. It was so easy to walk to Disneyland: no shuttle, no hassle, no extra fees. Nevertheless, had I known that every door faces the outside, that I would feel the vibration of every cart and luggage roller, that the bathrooms were so small, I would have booked another hotel. If you dont mind noise or have some excellent ear plugs, book this hotel. If location is more important than comfort, go for it. This hotel will not wow you if you are accustomed to 4 stars or more, but it wont let you down either. It was ample and fairly clean. Heres a TIP: there is a Disney Outlet a few miles away up Harbor. Great prices and plenty of Disney pins for sale. Youll love it!

  • I was somewhat leary about booking this facility based on some on the negative comments. I was extremely pleased with this hotel. The staffs were friendly, informative and helpful. The room was very nice, and the beds were so comfortable. I will definitely book this facility again in the future.

  • Just got back! Great place to stay if you plan to hit Disney! Short walk to the park and I mean a short walk! McDonalds in the parking lot as well as Millies! Ate at Millies twice and was not disappointed! Pizza Hut on site was a bonus! Forget IHOP too expensive! Beds were comfortable with a good size room. Fridge in the room was a bonus as well. Ran to Wal-Mart and bought soda which we kept cold in the fridge. Soda machines at hotel $2 per 12oz bottle!!!! Location and comfortable room were most important part of our trip though!

  • My family, and I try to stay at Marriott properties whenever we travel away from home. We have stayed at this hotel before, and loved how close it was to the entrance to Disneyland. The location is great, and there are lots of food choices if one wants to eat outside the park as well. As with all Marriott properties weve stayed at, they really work hard at being friendly, the rooms are clean, and they offer almost any service one needs. This property is older, but is kept up, and feels secure, and well taken care of. The only thing we found to be subpar this visit was the towels. They are old, thin, and scratchy. We left our comments with the desk staff at check out. The staff at the Pizza Hut on the 3rd floor were especially nice when we stopped by for pizza, even though it was 10:30pm. We will stay again.

We left our comments with the desk staff at check out. The staff at the Pizza Hut on the 3rd floor were especially nice when we stopped by for pizza, even though it was 10:30pm. We will stay again.

  • The best point about this hotel is the location--RIGHT ACROSS the street from Main Gate. (Other hotels claim this and they may not be) Its quiet and very clean, you can change clothes or just take a break from the park in the middle of the day. You can go back for parades or fireworks or just after dinner. Mimis Cafe is right next door and the food is great, plentiful and reasonably priced. We brought home the muffins from dinner and had breakfast the next morning. One comment is I had reserved 2 queen beds here and when I checked in they said the reservation was for a king and that reservations through this site could not guarantee bed type. They gave me the 2 queens anyway. This hotel also charges more for floors 7-9 (new this year--called a resort view). Save your money, we were on the 7th floor last year and the 5th floor this year and the view of the resort is the same. I definitely recommend this hotel if your main interest is going to Disneyland. Otherwise, there are probably newer and nicer hotels in Anaheim or LA for less money. You pay a premium to be across the street but we thought it was worth it.

  • Just got back and WOW! I was extremely happy with this hotel. The staff was friendly, informative and helpful. The room was very nice, and the beds were very comfortable. Great place to stay if you plan to hit Disney! Short walk to the park and I mean a short walk! When I go back to Disneyland, I will stay here.

  • We spent 3 nights here while visiting Disneyland, 12/30 to 01/02. We were very satisfied. We had 2 rooms between my and my brothers families, with a connecting door. We arrived around 12:15pm in the afternoon, didnt expect to be allowed to check in but were surprised when we were. That was very nice. The hotel is a an older building & all the doors face the outside. About 9 stories total. Check in staff was very nice. Parking was free. Maid staff did a great job on the rooms. The rooms are on the small side, as are the bathrooms but acceptable. Beds were very comfortable, with 6 pillows per bed of various firmness levels. Blackout curtains worked great. TV was old CRT type but worked fine, with cable channels. Internet was free and worked fine also. As you left every morning, there were 2 large water jugs in the lobby as you came out of the elevator, one infused with lemons, other with limes or oranges, & a supply of cups next to them. Very nice touch. There is also a mini-mart in the lobby where you can buy supplies, snacks, etc. We had to get childrens Moltrin for one of our kids & they had it. There is a Pizza Hut on the 3rd floor of the hotel, if you dont feel like leaving for dinner. There is a Millies restaurant on the property parking lot. Had breakfast and dinner there. Nice restaurant with decent food & prices. There is also a Mimis restaurant on one side of the hotel, which was pretty packed for breakfast, and a McDonalds on the other side. Overall, very pleasant stay.

Large roll-in shower. Rails by the toilet. Space under the sink. The only difficulty I had was the tall bed. Better for an electric chair height than my manual. It was comfortable though. All in all, for spending the night, it had what I needed. My daughter enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub.

They are softer than the king.Turns out the king is a ""normal"" hotel bed but the doubles have this wonderful cushion on top that makes sleeping on them a dream.Go for the room with double beds

  • My husband and I are Annual Passholders for Disneyland and stay in the surrounding hotels frequently to avoid the big bill of the actual park hotels. On our most recnt trip we decided to try the Fairfield Inn by Marriott. Having 2 young boys, our main concern was location & a pool! And for almost $200/night, that is ALL we got! When we booked our room we requested to have a crib in it. When we got there we had no crib; we had to request one be sent up 3 times! Finally once it was, it was broken and wouldnt even stand up. When we called to ask for a new one they said they were all out. So, our infant had to sleep in bed with us until the next night when they finally had one available.Also, upon arriving to the hotel, we were charged a bogus $50 fee which was NEVER disclosed to us when we booked or confirmed the room. They said it was a ""security deposit"" but instead of just holding our card they charged it and told us that it would be refunded w/in 24 hours of check-out. 3 1/2 weeks (and 7 phone calls later) they finally refunded our money! We were basically told everything from their machine was broken to whoever does the refunds was out and to call back.Needless to say, between being overpriced and trying to fraud people out of $50, I think this hotel deserves a 1 star - only because the pool was great! The next time (and everytime) after we have stayed at the Howard Johnson. It is 20 feet up the road, has a great pool and is w/in a few dollars of the price you pay for this lowsey one!

We stored them with the bellman and went to Disney. We came back at 4pm and got our room. The rooms are nice size and comfortable. We had a King bed with a pull out sofa bed. The room didnt have a luggage stand, so we called front desk for one. Had to call two more times until we got one. Other than that, it was a good experience. The hotel is a short walk to Disney as advertised.

  • except for the weather (95+ every day) it was the best. The manager of the hotel was FANTASTIC. everyone took care of business like it should be done. only one half block up and cross the street and you are at disneyland. our room faced the fireworks display which was a great bonus. If you smoke use the smokers areas--one of which is right outside the front door using the benches also used for catching your ride to the airport, the other is where you wait for the buses to take you to universal, knottsberry etc.--seems like there should have been somewhere less bothersome for one and all.... This hotel was always clean and cool. We didnt have one problem with anything. Lots of varied restaurants close by, from McDs right next door to rib joints a block away (tony romas). There is also a little pizza place in the hotel and two dennys like places to the front and one side of the hotel. Would and have recommended this hotel to friends and family and as of today, I am going back again in February, to this hotel, and hopefullly the same room and view!!!!

  • The Fairfield Inn was barely adequate. My biggest complaint was the mattress. The linen (sheets) kept riding up to the top of the mattress. And the mattress was the grossest,most discustingly stained mattress that I have ever seen in my life. The housekeeping crew even put towels under the sheets (in the center of the mattress). So that tells me that the mattress was even more stained and discusting in the center. I was afraid to look. Never going back!
